Persistent and Loyal Friends of Terri and of the U.S. Constitution,

I'm home from today's hearing which was held at the Criminal Courthouse Complex on 49th Street, Clearwater before Judge W. Douglas Baird.

Once I collect my thoughts from today's hearing which just adjourned about a half an hour ago, I'll post them here. Initially, I wasn't going to do any reporting re: the hearing but it was enlightening.

I learned today in the hallway that Terri's parents, siblings and other relatives are still unable to see her some three weeks later due to the criminal investigation of what may have been mosquito bites. But, that's a different legal matter.

another interesting aspect of this announcement is that there is wide-spread knowledge that Terri is, and HAS BEEN MISSING, 2 teeth.

this announcement seems an attempt to sidestep concern -- are those two teeth included in these 5 now said to have been extracted?

However, this is obviously yet another situation in which Terri's family has NOT been kept apprised of her true condition. Censoring self. . .

Another thing -- now we're getting the positive glowing report that Terri VOILA!! has a state-of-the-art bed. But a snazzy bed alone does NOT cure that decubitus ulcer! It takes special (dare I say loving?) care and meticulous attention to cure that -- the bed can be a distraction. I am not impressed. I remain very concerned about that ulcer. (Where was it I was reading of another invalid who died of resulting infection from one? h'mm)

The 2nd DCA ruled to keep the case in Pinellas with Judge Baird. If Baird gets a Summary Judgment, they will DO IT AGAIN.

We must contact our NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES because Jeb's tied up in the Courts and we aren't in DC.

On April 20, 2004, Attorney Deborah Bushnell (who represents Michael Schiavo) faxed a letter to Attorney Patricia Anderson (who represents Bob and Mary Schindler, Terri's parents).

In that letter, Ms. Bushnell stated that Terri has had five teeth extracted.

Ms. Bushnell offered no reasonable explanation of why this was done, if Terri was appropriately anesthetized, what follow-up care is being prescribed nor if any restorative dental work was to be provided to her.

For years, in court, Terri's family has argued that Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo had not provided her proper dental care - among other things. Now, Terri has had five teeth removed.

As of this writing, it is unknown what, if anything, is being done to address this problem. Terri's parents are unable to get clear information regarding their daughter's condition.

IMO, Terri CAN SWALLOW so they're pulling her teeth so that even if Terri could pass a swallow test, they'd say that she has no teeth and cannot chew. WHAT DENTIST IS THIS? I THINK GOVERNOR BUSH HAS THE RIGHT AS TERRI'S PROXY TO KNOW WHAT DENTIST IS PULLING HER TEETH AND WHY??? Folks, it's Friday - hard to make calls but not to email or fax. Calls can be placed next week. NATIONAL CALLS ARE MORE IMPORTANT AT THIS POINT.

I strongly recommend calling the RNC number as listed above and get phone numbers from them for all GOP Senate & House members. That's what we had to do last year. floriduh voter

FELOS SUED JEB SO THAT HIS HANDS ARE TIED. That's how it's been and that's why they are litigating.

If we don't take this to a national level, it's all over.

cyn, I believe that they yanked her teeth out and then they won't treat the places where the teeth were pulled. She could get dry sockets which is very painful. If Terri moans about the pain from dry sockets or infection from all those teeth being pulled, they'll say they had to put her out of her misery.

And, her own family won't even have seen her...I think they are trying to cause a massive infection and the Bushnell fax to the Schindlers was a "nah nah nah nah nah" in your face fax.

I saw them. They are soul-less ghouls.

who: Who was the requestor? Who decided the teeth needed to be removed? Who performed the extractions ( if not her own dentist )? Who was present at the time of the oral surgery? Who has responsibility for Terri's current dental records?

what: What was the condition of the teeth in question? What teeth did the oral surgeon remove? when: When was the request made? When did the requestor first learn of the need for dental attention? When did the oral surgeon extract the teeth?

where: Where was the oral surgery performed? Where are Terri's current dental records?

why: Why were the teeth removed ( lack of oral hygiene?, lack of gum exercise? )

I'm assuming Michael Schiavo or Terri's current attending physician ordered this, but the fax did not make it clear. Nor did it make clear the condition of her mouth, who performed the extraction, when it was requested or anything else. It was a vague notification of the extraction after the fact and nothing further was given to her family.

I'm assuming that the lack of dental attention over the past 10 years that the Schindlers have been complaining about in court is the cause of the problem.

The Schindlers have tried to get more information via their attorneys, but nothing is forthcoming.

Considering the frenzy with which Michael wants Terri dead, it is obvious that he has something terrible to hide. Then here are all the sadistic stunts he has pulled -- publicly shown himself to be an evil person who wants to hurt others. And considering the judicial misconduct, it is no wonder if people lose faith in the system.

It is outrageous that he has SOLE CONTROL over another human being as if she were a rag doll - not human. Tyranny lives here in Pinellas-Pasco County.

Not to be cruel, but somehow this all seems like a scripted charade; that her legal team isn't all over the 'solitary confinement' of their client.

The stand still 'give me your best shot' image Terri's defense team has put forth leaves a lot to be desired. A 'dream team' they ain't.
