BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Filming in California's multi-billion-dollar porn industry has been frozen after a popular actor tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS.
Porn actor Darren James tested positive for HIV this week in screening conducted routinely on the industry's 1,200 regular actors.
Industry advocates immediately called for a 60-day moratorium on filming so that others could be tested.
The Los Angeles-based industry normally completes three to four adult films a day.
It must now wait to see if the deadly virus has spread to 14 actresses who had onscreen sex with James, or to the 35 sex partners the women subsequently had.

Do you say the same thing when people get SARS or smallpox or ebola or malaria or any number of other diseases caused by microorganisms?

Porn films now add an additional element of reality. The film credits will tell us what strain of the HIV the actors and actresses carry. I suppose condoms will be more in evidence.

We can all praise the Lord that this "industry" has been forced to temporarily halt production.
Does this not make you happy?
We can all praise the Lord that people in this "industry" are forced to acknowledge how wretched and destructive their "industry" is. This is a wondeful thing.
Who would not be happy at that?
Why are you NOT happy with this development? What is wrong with you?

Those diseases arrive regardless of one's chosen behavior.
The delight is not in persons having contracted AIDS, the delight is in:
1) seeing the death and destruction of extremely immoral behavior highlighted in the news as a warning and reminder to all
2) seeing the "actors" forced to face the reality that their business is an evil cesspool with wretched rewards - and hopefully (as a result) leaving the "industry"
3) seeing the pornography "industry" suffer financially

Yes, I'm a sick person. I'm evil and demented, heartless and cold. I'm narrow minded and my mind has not been set free.
That's why I believe scum tends to self destruct like this.
Or should I feel sorry for them? What will the open minded intelectual left tell me to think I wonder?

If a person CHOOSES to engage in a "Lifestyle" or activity that is self destructive and bad, should I feel sorry for them?
How do you feel about someone that is obese, smokes, does't exercise and lives off of McDonalds? I do feel pitty for a person with failing health such as this, as I do feel sorry for the individual with AIDS (even if self induced). Yet you should realize that there is a HUGE difference between someone who contracts an illness out of no self wrong doing and someone who gets sick because they CHOSE to do that in light of warnings and taboos and even legal restrictions. This person killed himself just as someone does that puts a gun to his head. No difference. It's NOT societies fault! It's not the parents fault. There is no school teacher or anyone else to blame. He CHOSE to do this for money and sex despite people telling him it's dangerous, not morally right and and and. Now he will die slowly and miserably. I feel sorrow for the suffering he and his family will endure out of his OWN poor decisions.

With merely one sentence you show yourself to be an ignorant piece of sh*t for rejoicing at a diagnosis of AIDS. Saying that God is responsible for this is why many folks can't tolerate some that spout their "religion".

Why are you NOT happy with this development? What is wrong with you? Rejoicing at death and giving "credit" to God makes you different from Osama how?

I agree with Sakic. Rejoicing at the diagnosis of a deadly disease is not a very Christian or charitable thing to do.

What work would that be? Please specify.
You aren't actually pleased these people have contracted Aids, are you?

I guess to this guy, Sin is Sin, and he is happy as hell that Tammy Faye Bakker is now suffering from terminal cancer.
Maybe other "sinners" and "thieves like Oral Roberts, Robert Tilton and Jimmy Swaggard will be given a "dose" of good old God ordained cancer.
To: Robert Drobot
Look, I'm sorry to see anyone diagnosed with AIDS - no one DESERVES it - but I sure hope this encourages other porn "actors" and "actresses" to seek a less dangerous career.
One can always pray that people change!

You have got to be an atheist trying to make Christians look bad. Take your jackass comment and shove it. These people need Jesus, not AIDS.
