Bush has also been reported to do what Ike did: fumble in public but behave like a sharp barracuda behind closed doors. Ike enjoyed letting the media cast him as a kindly, homey grandfather: it took attention away from the hardball deals that he conducted when the press cameras weren't looking.

I would disagree with you when it comes to Dr. Laura. A good talk show host does not need to be condescending to your callers. It shows insecurity on your part. I never did nor never will. O'Reilley is great on t.v. but needs work on the radio. Rush remains the all time greatest host on radio even with the ego-thing.

Savage is a brilliant guy. If you haven't sat in the hot seat for three hours at a time day after day you don't realize how good he really is. He also makes some great points about no border control and uncontrolled illeagals ruining the country. These are topics most people won't touch with a ten foot pole.

Well I disagree, but unlike Mr Savage I recognize that the enemy of my enemies is my ally by default so I will refrain from speaking ill of him. Remember Mr Reagan's 11th Commandment "Thou shalt not speak ill of fellow Republicans"? I think we should add a 12th. "Thou shalt not speak ill of your political allies". I just cannot understand the hardon Savage has for Bush. Why be so foaming at the mouth enraged at a guy (Bush) who agrees with you 70% of the time and thus help elect a guy (Kerry) who will give you 100% of what you OPPOSE?

Considering that we have to answer for ourselves or at least our works, the day after or maybe the millennia after judgment day might be a better choice. I don't think that punishment is neccessarily God's motive nor that it is ever his only motive but Clinton always made me feel punished.
