Clinton had a pretty good delivery

I never saw it. I could never stomach how Clinton would speak (not very well in my opinion) --- very impressed with himself --- and then squint his eyes scanning the audience ever few minutes waiting for some kind of applause. He was so completely obnoxious I could never watch a whole performance. I'd rather have a more sincere and honest and humble speaker to watch and listen to.

I didn't argue about your opinion, I offered advice on how to better present it. Send me notes if you wish, but that wasn't my point.

I agree-very well written reply. We are never going to agree with anyone 100%. The nitpicking needs to stop.

Sorry, it isn't the President's fault that you are out of work. Do you want to know who is at fault for that? Got a mirror handy?

He was seeking out prospective interns. LOL

Yeah, I couldn't stomach alot of the Clinton years. I was gainfully employed, so I was doing something to keep my mind off The Bent One.

Therefore, he would appear tired, if he was giving a press conference at 8.

Plus I'm sure the recent problems in Iraq have been draining. I am not surprised that he looked a bit worn and maybe sad.

I'm sorry, but it is my opinion that the LABOR UNIONS have priced labor so far above reason that companies must do what they can to stay afloat. If that means shipping jobs to where people are happy to work at all, then so be it.

Also, didn't you say your illness was emphysema? How did you get that? Do/Did you smoke?

here are the Reuters headlines at the top of 'my yahoo' page:

Bush Says He Will Stake Re-Election on Iraq
Ashcroft at Center of Storm Over Sept. 11 Attacks
Four U.S. Marines Killed in Iraq in Past Two Days
Cheney to Face More Pressure on Taiwan Arms Sales

Unbelievable. The first article has the most disjointed set of quotes I have ever seen, essentially re-writing what Bush said. The second story is absolute BS. Ashcroft kicked ass and took names. I didn't look at 3 or 4, but the four titles together shows the extreme bias.

I'm with ya! George W. Bush cost me my life savings in the stock market.

I had thousands of shares in Burqas Incorporated, but they all became worthless after the fall of the Taliban.

It takes a certain maturity and wisdom to be as tough as nails, but fair and caring about all of our species on this planet.

It is good to be proud of our country, but it is also important to respect all countries. MANKIND was created in God's image, not just Americans.

I believe that the President strikes the right balance between strength and caring for others on this planet.

I don't think Bush made any mistakes post 9-11. He did exactly what I would have done. He got it exactly right. Well, maybe he could have said, he should have warned earlier that after we rid Saddam, it would be yet ahead a tough hard road in Iraq specifically, just like I said in general about the war on terror. Yep, that is what I would have said. But then I had time to think about it.

He DID do just fine. That is my "fair and balanced" and "non-partisan" judgment. Honest! I call them as I see them, and on some occasions, have posted on this very forum that Bush was found wanting. But he did better than I expected in this press conference. Much better actually.

far above reason that companies must do what they can to stay afloat.

The problem is --- individuals tend to do the same --- they will do what they must do to stay afloat and if one political party seems to be hell bent on exporting their jobs, signing contracts with any government which will take the jobs from the Americans, then those people tend to vote for the opposite party ---- especially if it lies and pretends to be pro-Americans having jobs --- even if it would do the same.

I thought the president did great tonight. Got all his points across very well. He doesn't do all the double talk that Kerry and the rest of the dems do. Thank the Lord.

He tells it like it is, even if he stumbles over his words at times. You know where he stands on the issues, especially the WOT. He is the polar opposite of Kerry and his taking both sides of every issue.
