Michael Savage is an over-the-top, repetitive, mean-spirited boor who is, um, shall we say honesty-challenged.

Gotcha back, Miss Marple! Will be happy to help.

Since Fallujah's townspeople are held hostage to the foreign fighters in their midst, I think your proposition is a losing one. In addition, the IRC is in there trying to get help for the Marines.
You are listening to Savage, who doesn't know squat about strategy, but simply rants on emotion like a liberal.
This is not about feel good stuff, but about a careful strategy to destroy the anti-democracy groups while gaining the support of the rest of the population.
Bombs always sound impressive from the armchair general's seat, but they don't always do the job.

http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,116999,00.html WASHINGTON John D. Negroponte (search), the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who played a central role in trying to win support for war with Iraq, is emerging as the leading candidate for the sensitive job of ambassador to Baghdad.
Several Bush administration officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Negroponte's nomination would be announced soon, although others cautioned a final decision on an envoy to Iraq had not been made.

As an added benefit, O'Reilly loses some time tonight. HehehehCan't stand him more often than not so sticking to the pledge, I'm on CNN of all places.
To: Miss Marple
but about a careful strategy to destroy the anti-democracy groups while gaining the support of the rest of the population. That one should be on Letterman.
That place has been Babylon for thousands of years. It is not going to be a western style democracy just because we want it to be. There is a reason that the rulers of that region are so ruthless.

Hmmm. So would Negroponte quit the UN or go into Iraq with his UN title still in tact?

OH, you are deciding that they should be ruled by a dictator?
I believe in the power of good, the attraction of democracy, and the fact that people have a right to have a say in their government. That is what we are doing.
If you want to cede control of Iraq to the terrorists, go somewhere else.
