The President and his family spent Easter Sunday at the Chapel at Fort Hood and then visited soldiers at the Darnell Community Hospital.
President Bush held a joint press conference with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, at his ranch Monday, April 12, 2004 in Crawford, Texas, discussing Sharon's plans for the Gaza Strip, among other subjects.
The President left for the Waco airport shortly after the completion of the press conference, and flew home to the White House.
The President announced that he will hold a press conference in the White House, Tuesday night, at 8:20 PM EDT.

Before changing and conducting the press conference with Egyptian President Mubarak, Pres. Bush tkes part in an update on Iraq in a secure room at his Western White House. Did anyone see David Broder on one of the news shows Sunday morning. I don't remember which one. He actually said that it was terrible that the President "disappeared" during such a traumatic week. HUH? The media knew where he was; knew where to find him! I heard stuff about him on the news the entire week! The fact that he didn't run to the cameras every time something bad happened in Iraq didn't mean he wasn't paying attention, but that's what the old addlebrain was trying to make the viewers think!
Technology is a wonderful thing. It means the President can do his job ANYWHERE he is, be it Crawford TX or Washington DC.

O'Reilly has become insufferable. I heard about a minute of that segment with Dick Morris before I could get off the phone and to the remote. He was infuriating.
On the local evening news, I heard the results of a state wide poll of 700 registered voters in Louisiana. The polling agency was Southern Media, at this time, President Bush would with 53% of the vote to Kerry's 38%.

We are still on Easter Break. I start first thing tomorrow. I have 8 more weeks.
I will let you know how it was the first day back. I'm going to ease them back in. They do have a report in my class due on Friday and a report due in another class I believe on Wednesday.
We will be starting state testing next week.
To: MS.BEHAVIN
Good luck on your tests.. is this a yearly test? do you have to take periodic "update" classes? In that field I would imagine there are lots of changes...much to know/learn

homemom....the misery index you remember hearing about was President Carter's. He was a miserable sob and naturally thought everyone else was, too. We were, until he left office.

my school nightmare is that I have a final exam or final paper the next day & I have not gone to class all semester or read the book

Thanks, TNt! My favorite of tonight's photos is the one of the President with the wounded trooper. God bless them both.

I am highly suspicious about that shoulder surgery. He probably had it worked on simply because lying about it would have been too risky but I wonder if it was the primary reason for the hospital visit. After all, the shoulder seemed fine when he was skiing and snowboarding all over Sun Valley. It was only last year that he had prostate surgery for cancer and since then it seems he has been in some kind of manic competition to be seen engaged in as many "manly" athletic or sporting photo ops as possible.

William Donahue was on some show tonight saying that Kerry might not have actually gotten an annulment from his first wife.
