Priest may be forming breakaway church

Catholic leaders issue stern warning

A Catholic priest, who was transferred two years ago after delivering a vulgar Easter homily advocating the ordination of women and married men, may be starting a breakaway church, Catholic officials said yesterday.

A Web site says that the Rev. William Hausen will be pastor of Christ Hope Ecumenical Catholic Church, which will begin holding services May 2 at Sewickley Country Inn.

The church's Web site, www.christhope.com, has no phone number and Hausen could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Officials of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh said they were trying to reach Hausen, who has been on administrative leave from ministry since October.

"Please be advised that this church is not part of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, is not recognized by Bishop [Donald] Wuerl, and is not sanctioned either by this diocese or the Apostolic See [Vatican]," said a notice faxed to pastors late yesterday afternoon. "You may wish to advise your parishioners of this notification and that participation in this church has grave consequences."

Actually I do know. The problem here isn't what I know, it's what your clergy would rather people didn't know. And once it's presented we get the "nobody understands" quotes. Spare us.

I didn't involve myself with when your church cares to do the right thing, that speaks for itself. Whether it should try to do the right thing should be obvious. I'm just injoying the pickle your own doctrine has you in - compromising doctrine and scripture in order not to give the appearance that pushing your claim where people would not welcome it. If it were a southamerican politician, I'm sure the Pope would have no problem with injecting himself there.

Hodar:
I read the above from start to finish and I haven't a clue as to what you said and or what you are trying to say. It is a perfect example of "argle bargle". Thanks for the demonstration!

Priests raping young children is not a fad that was picked up in the 1980's and 90's. It's been going on for centuries. And it's also not limited to the USA.

You don't WANT to recognize the truth in the fact that they are HUMAN. They will err, (That is a proper term, a refrence to the famous line "To err is huiman....".) You want to hold them to the high standard set by Church doctrine BUT THEY ARE HUMAN. They will fall to Evil THEY ARE HUMAN,

You're saying that buddists have achieved human perfection!!? Don't make claims that not only can't be backed up but are beyond possability, Buddists ARE HUMAN.

All humans will err and continue to err until Hells Bell have frosted over and will call to the damned no more, in the church or out of the church.
