Something that stuck out. We had approached Pakistan as of June 2001. Did Clinton do this also or was this the first move to make a move on Afghanistan? Did Clinton shut down the alqueda money tree at all?
Basically the clintons did nothing. They were busy with the Monica's of the world

IMHO Kerrey is the largest windbag on the panel. Counting minutes before he asks his first question.

LOL!! When Senator Kerrey made his opening statement about how he admired Condi, my 14 yr. old son commented, "Suck-up"!
This is great current events for my homeschooled kids!

Kerrey is saying military in Iraq hurts and doesn't help. I think he's a dolt.

Do confiscatory taxes offend you? Does class warfare offend you? Well then, when the Democrats say that the President is passing tax cuts to help his rich buddies, let's just change the subject. When the Dems say that Enron was the fault of Bush helping an energy buddy from Texas, let's just change the subject, because we're too good to respond. I mean, don't tell them we're not the puppets of the rich, because that might offend people who find class warfare distasteful.
The Democrats call us racists. We can compare their performance (the destruction of the Black family, no Blacks in leadership with the possible exception of a vicious racist like Dona Brazile, and the Black representation in Congress looks like a nuthouse) versus our performance. Or, we can change the subject.

Applauding would take away from his face time.

I'm not surprised at all with the statement that there are lots of plans that get formulated but never get used. This world we live in is literally teeming with threats of many varieties. We want people in Pentagon game-planning against these threats, regardless of whether a particular game plan ever gets implemented or not.

Kerrey questioning now, being gracious at the outset. He says he views this as a war against radical Islam. He is telling the audience not to applaud. Says he thinks we are headed for civil war if we continue with the military response, and that we are just helping al quaeda with its recruiting.
Kerrey may be misguided, but he is not a bad fellow. Glad he told them to stop clapping, that's annoying no matter what your politics.

Is that because he wanted HIS time or because he new knew it was innappropriate??
To: Sacajaweau
You're absolutely right. There should be no audience and the whole thing should be aired for the world. Just remember, the terrorists are sitting around....taking notes.Bingo! We Americans forget that our dirty laundry is aired for the world. Disfunctional Democratic family members who are given too much tv time demonstrate their weaknesses every day and are then surprised by foreign aggression.

I'm trapped at work now but listend to the first hour and a half on the radio coming in. I just have one question, did she give anybody the Black Ice Stare of Death yet? I would pay money to see her give "the stare" to gore licker. Money I tell you.

Kerrey is using his time to try to put the Bush Admin. down about Iraq. Stay on the subject, Senator!
