Condi can answer every question perfectly and destroy Clarke completely, but the headlines are already written, 'Condi Answers Raise More Questions than Answers'. Left-wing rhetoric is as predictable as the sun rising.
It's so boring. I could write that stuff in my sleep.

That's why she's gone beyond explaining. She's undercutting the hidden assumptions in his questions, which is the best way to respond to baiting selective questions (such as "what was the title of that memo?"). Yes. That was excellent. She really made him and the people clapping looked like uninformed simpletons...like those who only read titles and know nothing about the content.

I thought Kerrey was an ex-Senator? Oh well either way I'd be surprised if he is as hostile. He was the one who, if I remember correctly was saying this wasn't a "gotcha" session.
As for Brokejaw. His talking over Dr. Rice says more about his liberal bias and hatred for anything Republican than anything else he might say or do.

Why can't we get some freepers in the audience. The DC Chapter is always on its best behavior.

Condi is b-slapping Ben Veniste around this hearing room....and on cable, network news, radio.....I think in BV's case, the better term would be PIMP-slapping!

Problem Alert!
Demtalkingpointsmemo is being faxed to all the media to counter this vicious Republican attack on the committee.
[Dr. Rice is chewing them up. Help!] Peter, Tom, Dan! Line up the analysts and get them on air ASAP. Hillary is fuming! Dr. Rice isn't turning into chopped liver; she's doing the chopping.]

BV grandstands that he wants it declassified and more vicious applause Does anyone remember the widows of the Pearl Harbor bombing trying actively to impede our government's prosecution of war, or weaken the government and aid and comfort our enemies? No, of course not. These were wives of military men, who loved their nation and trusted the President to defend them. And the Pearl Harbor Commission wisely waited until AFTER WWII was finished, it was not constructed as a political weapon like this one is. As a New Yorker I am truly ashamed that these mostly-NYC mostly-Democrat mostly-Bush-hating widows represent the victims. If the attack had happened in another city with fewer Liberals perhaps the victims' wives would have been more respectful. I wish these Commie millionaire b*tches would shut up and let us win this war.

Miserable pillock. Don't stop there. Let the world know what he really is.
He's nothing but a rank crook-pated codpiece.
A gorbellied dismal-dreaming measle.
A droning pox-marked flax-wench.
A villainous ill-nurtured giglet.
A impertinent swag-bellied lout.
A cockered pox-marked ratsbane.
A lumpish doghearted mammet!

He tends to stir those reactions. LOL

Condi is doing a great job in coming back to the main point that pre 9/11, there were institutional impediments to predicting and preventing what happened.
The American people would not have stood for it, anyhow. Sadly, we had to get hit hard, once.

Several here would add their fingers to that slap BV needs. I'll gladly give a swift kick in the backside of his pimp suit.

Condi: Let me place this in the context of where we were trying to figure out who did this. It was a reasonable questoin to ask whether Iraq was behind this considering their hostility to us.
Not reasonable to little Chrissy Matthews. Not reasonable to Hanoi John. Not reasonable to the Long Distance Swimmer of Chappaquidick.

I distinctly remember hearing the House deliberations about the impeachment vote on NPR. All the speeches, the back and forth between the 'RATS and the Pubbies.
To: Truth29
Notice, for most of Condi's testimony, the useful idiots in the gallery are coughing nervously--a sure sign that she is getting to them.
To: BombHollywood
The "audience" is pathetic. They don't have an agenda do they? Compare their response to Condi's opening and that of "Dick" Clarke. BenVeniste is also a "Dick". When the audience applauds BenVeniste's attacks it's very evident what the agenda is and what the media line will be.
To: txradioguy
Bob Kerrey is the one who criticized Fox for making public the interview with Clarke. He is a political hack.
To: Enduring Freedom
Remember when congress forced Oliver North to testify?
