US marines pressing an offensive in this Iraqi town west of Baghdad bombed a mosque in the center of the town Wednesday and killed up to 40 insurgents inside, a marine officer said.
The attack came from a jet aircraft at a high angle to minimize the impact, the officer said.
"We wanted to kill the people inside," said Lieutenant Colonel Brennan Byrne.

CNN now reporting that the Marines in Fallujah are stacking Iraqis up "like cordwood".
Good. Now burn them like cordwood and drag their mutilated bodies through the streets. Laugh while doing this.

FoxNews reported that a wall or fence around the mosque was destroyed but not the mosque itself.

I agree. I believe that they would not hesitate to destroy the Vatican if given the chance. Hiding in a mosque is like hiding behind women and children while still firing at our soldiers and Marines. Time to make them realize that they will not be safe anywhere.

If we bombed Monte Cassino, we can bomb a mosque.

"I think that the muslems here in US are moderate. However,
since that religion says it's ok to have slaves and that
us infidels are treated as sencond class citizens under
sharia law, they'd not be too upset if infidels had to
pay all the taxes and could not own property...I mean
since we are so unwise as to not accept Allah as our
god. All the moderate muslems would benefit greatly
if us infidels would only stay in our proper place."
Dimmitude. That's what they have in mind for us. The "moderates" are just anchor points until the "radicals" take over. All the same to me.

U.S. Forces Fire Missiles at Mosque in Fallujah (more details)
wapo ^ |
Attack Approved After Five Marines Shot From the Mosque
FALLUJAH, April 7 -- U.S. forces fired missiles at a mosque in the flashpoint city of Fallujah Wednesday after taking several hours of fire from insurgents who were using it as cover to attack Marines advancing through the city.
Five Marines had been shot from the mosque before commanders authorized the use of air power and laser-guided missiles against it. They had rejected the air attack several times, according to Marine officers and radio communications monitored from a command post by a Washington Post reporter.
"We've got to be careful," said one officer receiving a request for air support from the Marines around the mosque.
"We have some bad folks dug in," came the response. "They're creating a problem for us. What should we do? We need backup."

Stacking dead enemy like cordwood is something of a tradition for the 1st Marine Division. You'll recall that during the withdrawal from the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean war, the Ist Marines were cut off from virtually all logistical support. They discovered that the frozen bodies of dead Chinese could be stacked in a fashion to serve as bridge abutments.
To: dfwgator
Exactly! I visited there in 78.
It is time to let them know that they will not be safe anywhere, behind anything or anyone. Put the message out to all in every language they speak - especially to the women and children - if they hide behind you, you will die with them. Tell the women and children that this is not their fight but if they allow themselves to be used, they will die.

Using a term like "worshippers" is leftist doublespeak.Hey, you gotta give the wild-eyed, liberal left a break!
Remember, they don't believe in God, much less believe God, much less worship Him. The only thing these people worship is themselves, Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, and the UN.
Thus, when they say "worshippers" were killed, we must infer that they are talking about the terrorist... people like themselves.

Oh God ... I saw part of that too. I never in my life. When Karen started talking about all the jobs created last month and then King interrupts and spews out ... well they were low paying jobs. It was disgusting. But Hughes is an excellent speaker and did well getting her message out.

Liberal socialist pig-o-crats! First its jobs, jobs, jobs,. So, we've got jobs, now it's those are not good jobs, we need good jobs.
Hey B-holes, yeah, you democrats out there, wont these low-paying jobs help support the illegals ya'll love so much?
