Well .. I don't think ONE BOY counts very much when comparing an audience as a whole. And .. children will be children .. and hopefully the GOP learned that you can't (or shouldn't) put children in the background.
It's like that old saying - don't ever work with animals or children.

Ohio, I haven't been around for a week, so I missed the big HOMECOMING. I just want to say that I'm so glad that Eric made it home safely. It must be awesome to have your little boy back home. Thank the Lord you all made it through the year. Bless your son and your family for being such fine Americans.

I'm doing good. How are you? I'm not on Easter Break. We had our Spring Break two weeks ago. I'm just home for the weekend to get away from the whole school scene.
Are you taking any classes this semester?

LOL. Oh, I asked my husband about Tom Mix and he told me his forte was silent westerns. I think my almost 14 year-old son would probably like those. He's an avid Louis L'Amour fan.

I will be back in school as a student (instead of being the teacher) this summer.
I have decided that I will not be teaching next year. I turned in my letter of intent last Friday informing them that I would not be coming back. One of my students with her parents helped me make that decision.
This means that I will have more time to dedicate to school and to the Bush campaign, not to mention family, BSA and of course FR.
My 13 YO already knows and has BIG plans. He thinks that I am now going to greet him with pipping hot cookies and a cold glass of milk after school.
To: notpoliticallycorewrecked
I'm with your son. I think the milk and cookies after school would be just perfect for a 13 year old. Congratulations on going back to school.

I was just going to ask you where the Republican booth was. Mike's booth is at Polansky and 4th just down from the Corner Cafe. As a proud sister I will drag you over to see his pictures. I will not engage in pressure sales tho'.
To: notpoliticallycorewrecked
BSAI thought you mentioned scouting the other night. We're a scout family too. My hubby is a Troop Committee Chairman/assistant Scoutmaster.
To: WVNan
Hey he doesn't need
any encouragement.
I have been in school part time while teaching for the past couple of semesters. I just decided to take a semster off. My oldest is graduating from H.S. and my youngest is graduating from Jr.H. in June so I need to spend a little more time with them.

I heard on the radio that Letterman was going to interview the "yawning boy" on his show. Don't remember when, maybe tonight, maybe next week, but soon.

It was funny. And there's no reason not to put kids in the audience. The GOP just shouldn't get defensive when they don't behave exactly right. Apparently, the WH didn't.
BTW, this was a kid who really wanted to see W, got little sleep the night before, and spent 3 hrs. or so listening to speeches.
To: ride the whirlwind
My hubby is an asst. scoutmaster, but we have about 6 of those in our small troop. I am the Committee secretary and oversee the First Aid needs for our troop.
We have been in scouting since '92. The oldest did go very far in scouts, but the youngest has made Star.
To: notpoliticallycorewrecked
Oh we will be real close then, as the chamber is right down the street! I saw some of your brothers pictures that you emailed Tom and they are FANTASTIC! Can't wait to see them in person.
