[history]
When citizens in Vallejo mobilized to reject a terminal for import of liquefied natural gas last year, they joined a tidal wave of local opposition to these plants. Similar citizen movements in Tijuana, Harpswell, Maine, and Eureka have sent the LNG industry running for cover, all within the last few weeks.

Their drilling disturbs habitat for the critically endangered Western Pacific gray whale, of which there are only an estimated 100 remaining worldwide,
Historical note. The discovery of oil prevented the demise of whales who were being destroyed for whale oil.

Like other fossil fuels, when natural gas burns it emits greenhouse gases, which are changing the Earth's climate and in the process causing erratic weather
I guess I should be used to it, but its unbelievable how this hogwash is stated as fact.

Lets see. No LNG. No Nukes. No drilling offshore.
What do you mean the Hot tubs cold - Its price gouging by the Oil Industry
Will the last businesman in California please turn out the lights before you leave. Oh never mind the're already out.

I'm sure Texas and Louisiana will be happy to have them locate in their states......YEP! They are doubling the plant here, granted I don't want to be too close if it goes boom, but the oil field and related jobs are booming here.

That was posted from the article.
I dont think drilling for oil disturbs anythings habitat, and if it does, so what? I place HUMANS above animals or fish or vegetables (flora and fauna)

Except near the Kennedy and Kerry properties...

Let's see no nukes, no coal burning, LNG is out, windmills chop up condors, solar farms spoil the view, high voltage electric power lines causes cancer, burning wood causes air pollution--I hope Californians like sitting in the dark and using treadmills to recharge their electric cars.

Oh, that drilling over in Russia's Sakhalin Island area....
Gotcha.....

Renewable energy sources will increase as they become more competitive. The market place will take care of the energy problem, not the government.

Yes, but whale oil contains the best ingredient for automatic transmissions.
Maybe we could do both, drill for oil & catch whales?
