Al Franken-Fraud Air America Radio Link-LIVE THREAD Day 1
Wonkette.com ^ | March 31, 2004 | none given

Posted on 03/31/2004 8:40:31 AM PST by threat matrix

A Wonketeer writes, point your browser here (link) at noon and you will be able to listen to this crap fest yourself.

Don't do it before noon or you will be subjected to more 1950's music than you can handle.

When you think about it, it totally makes sense : Air America the liberal radio network, will not be broadcasting in the DC metro area.. DC went 70 percent for Gore! They don't need convincing.

We suspect that Air America will blow. Then again, it could suck.

Or perhaps it will achieve some mysterious simultaneous combination of the two. And while we are normally unopposed to mocking things that we have no direct knowledge of, this material seems rich.

For those of you who reside in one of the five areas covered by the Air America 'empire,' please send along your thoughts and comments.

He was saying they couldn't put LB and Gov. Arnold(I'm not even going to attempt the last name) couldn't be sitting next to each other at some event because "we can't have abstinence and steroids next to each other"

At least with Rush, his topics can be woven together to complete 3 hours of excellence.

DU's acting pretty supportive of it so far.

They don't have a choice. This is the best they've got!

Bwaaahahahahaha!

Nice Grateful Dead bumpers though...

I would assume that the first hour would be filled with edge of the seat parody, original skits and other stuff to entice the listener. I fully expected to be entertained even though I disagreed.

So far it reminds me of Madd TV's takeoff of high school radio.

Right now they're playing a parody of Ann Coulter. It sounds like Bebe Neuwirth's voice. It's not funny--the parody was Coulter speaking in a snotty tone to "Xavier" about the appetizers in the green room.

The parody fails because there is no element of truth to it. As with most liberals, it's mean-spirited and personal.

Since I can't listen and am just going by what everyone is saying, it sounds like this tool can't put 2 coherent thoughts together.

You know, I shouldn't call him a tool. A tool is useful.

Al Franken sounds completely different now talking to Liddy. Almost listenable. ALMOST. Don't worry. You are not missing anything.

I called XM radio at 1-800-967-2346. And told the girl I was thinking about dumping XM because I don't wish to send money to XM. She was confused then said "Oh, that's the new channel? We have had some calls about it". I told her they could take the channel and the leftist traitor Al Franken and stick him where the sun shines.

Of course there's a tendency to find a show with a different political position to be badly done, etc. I'm trying hard to be objective in listening.

In all honesty, I'm surprised and relieved to find how weak it is. I read this morning that there were 11 professional writers on the show. And this is it?

Right now, the girl co-host just called Ann Coulter "despicable," and they're running a parody of Ann Coulter chewing out a foreigner in the Green Room for not having what she demanded for snacks.

Frankly, that sounds much more like something Barbra Streisand would do.

But above all, it's just weak.

Yes, most liberals just don't seem to get the difference between poking fun and making fun of something/someone.

BeBe Neuwirth doing an Ann Coulter impersonation, a bad impersonation of an evil shallow Ann Coulter
I guess they are bringing out the "Big Guns" for their preview.
