[history]
Newly arrived illegal immigrants join others in the compound, which is equipped with a misting system. Military-type tarps shield immigrants from the sun.
Border Patrol agents are busting illegal immigrants faster than they can ship them to processing centers, cramming a temporary holding facility with as many as 500 detainees at a time.

hehe...this one will really burn ya...
My aunt lives in a mid sized Kansas town with a huge "undocumented migrant" population. They have built 5 elementry schools a 6-8th grade center and a new high school for the littlest amigos since 1996..talk about a tax hike!
The part that really ticks her off is not only are school lunches free for the poor migrants, but breakfasts were added several years ago.
This year, the final straw for my aunt was the inculsion of "afterschool migrant programs" in the elementrys...hehe.
Taxpayer funded Babysitters, soccer and fingerpainting and an "light dinner".
From 3:15 to 6:pm (so as to accomodate the meat packing plant shifts).....for native spanish speakers only. It's supposed to "help them catch up".
guess who is paying for it?
To: Will_Zurmacht
Kansas is sounding more and more like California. I know who SHOULD be paying for it, and that's Bush's buddy Vicente Fox, but of course it wouldn't be "politically correct" to send him a bill.
More and more schools will have to be built, just like we have to do here, medical facilities will go broke, just like they do here, and the pandering politicians will sit and smile about it, and then will raise our taxes to pay for it.

(3 YEARS AFTER 9/11 - WHY ARE THE BORDERS STILL OPEN?)
To: Will_Zurmacht
I was driving from Boulder to Nashville last year and stopped in a rest area for a break. There were VANLOADS of illegals parked there. Must have been twenty or thirty of them. I was disgusted! I've got nothing against these people but they need to go home NOW!

One last one for humor....Kansas really must be turning into California, for example...
We elected a Democrat Governor (Gasp!)
One of her first priorties in education is arranging aid and etc for "undocumented migrants" to go to college. Her first item on this is to award in state tuition to illegals (there, I said it)
So just to put it into perspective:
Born and raised in Kansas, tuition:~2000
Born and raised in Nebraska, 1 mile over the Kansas state line, tuition: ~ 6000-9000
Born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, broke numerous laws to get to Kansas, tuition: ~2000
yep, that makes sense.....
To: dljordan
They think they are "home", and the current administration is giving them no reason to think otherwise.

By the end of the week, there will be an outcry from the usual human rights groups, that these "migrant workers" are being "caged like animals" and "unfairly treated" in "internment camps like the Japanese during WWII." The usual blah blah blah. Janet NapoliReno will denounce her own state for doing this, just as she denounced her own Fish & Game Dept. last week for trying to take care of the cougar problem at Sabino Canyon. Did I miss any predictions of the obvious?

If the Islamikazis pull a Madrid between now and November, and any of the terrorists are traced to the Mexican border, then Bush is TOAST. I can't understand why he doesn't see this vulnerability to his political future, if nothing else?

Oh, I think he knows, Trav. I think that's why there is increased spinup of illegal immigrant interception in the news lately, at least here in AZ. You KNOW the Jihadis want Dubya out of office, and would love to pull a Spain on us around, let's say, late October. A limp-wristed French Boy, with a pacifier in his mouth, would be a breath of fresh air for them. They want it bad. Bush knows. It's a matter of whether or not he can get spun up in time.

Nothing compared to what has happened to California. The largest concentration of Mexican nationals outside of Mexico City is the greater Los Angeles area. Nope. It's Chicago, Illinois, for a number of factors, including a Hispanic community in public housing that can shelter their newcomer relatives and friends, available seasonal construction and agricultural work in the midwest, away from the southwestern concentration of BP/INS staff, and an interstate transportation web of roads and railroads that offers express routing to the Windy City.
The largest Spanish-speaking city in the world is Mexico City, D.F., the second Buenos Airea, Argentina. Chicago is third. As of the approximations available via the 2000 census, anyway.

And how much is a student from Chihuahua charged if they obey our laws, file for a student visa, and try to do everything the right way?

I wonder how many teen-agers or young couples just starting out, single moms, etc. are out of work because of the illegals?

Fox also brags about his control over USA elections. It certainly would be very easy for a group of Morrocans to go to Spain, then Mexico, then the USA. And the network Mexico has set up in this country can get them to any major city here very quickly and easily.

As God is my witness, if either party even seriously confronts this issue they will win in a landslide...Neither party will confront it. They're too busy pandering for votes. You and I take second seat to the candidate and the parties agenda.

...the last ten years ILLEGAL immigration has ruined numerous towns, strained our schools and public infrastructure, and filled our jails. When will this nonsense. Welcome to CA. Next, your hospitals will start closing because of the huge cash drain from the illegal aliens.

Our own government is lying to America when it tells us that securing the borders is too expensive. If we can afford to guard the borders in Korea, Afghanistan, etc (I forget were all else we are right now) we certainly can afford to guard our own borders. Someone just doesn't want to - it's that simple.

I can only imagine what the poor fools in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas must deal with on a daily basis.
Speaking as one of those poor fools myself, I have found that dealing with the increasing numbers *of*, the problems resulting *from*, and the additional allowances *for*; not to MENTION the much applauded 'turning of the politically correct blind eye'; brought about by this influx is actually pretty easy when regularly increasing your supply of bricks of ammo. It's made even easier by occasionally throwing in other goodies like the two pre-ban 75-round drums for the MAK-90 I just got as well as another Soviet SKS Carbine 7.62x39 to add to the collection.
Trust me, it's all much easier that way.

all dressed in Black and all had heavy packs on their backs-- I remember reading just about the same story just before the invasion of Iraq. Except then it was the sheriff of Cochise county reporting it.
I'm sure that story is still here somewhere.
