Done. There is certainly a difference of opinion here on FR, but when it comes right down to it, I think Dr. Rice is very savvy and if she is declining, I'll just bet she is right.

Appears one can vote more than once.

The question is misleading. She's already testified before the commission, just not in public where she will be used for grandstanding by the Party of Evil.

The Demorats just want to have a Bush Staff member to embarrass front of TV's across the country. Do you think they would stick to asking about pre and post 911 issues? Dream on if you do. No, but Hell No, is the correct answer.

I've been twirling around an idea that might work for Bush, politically. First, he should continue to assert Executive Privilege concerning Condi Rice. Second, he should make himself available to give unsworn testimony -- and have Condi seated RIGHT NEXT TO HIM -- to underscore the nature of that privilege. This way Bush gets to pull an "Ollie North", Condi comes across looking something like a lawyer in a legal proceeding (whispering in the president's ear offmike), and this Panel of Has-Been's & Nobodys comes off small.

I now that this risks Presidential Stature, but Lincoln did the same thing during the Civil War when he slapped the Committee on the Conduct of the War.

Comments?
