Ben Veniste perceives no differences in the book and other items.
Notice how they refer to Clarke's meetings also in private with them but act like they've never set eyes on Condi. And just as I type that Ben Veniste makes a sarcastic comment about her again.
Deceitful--and did I hear Clark make a disparaging remark about her?

We can only hope Shay gets some coverage - Shays is the worst, most treacherous RINO in Congress--whatever he says today, he'll retract soon--bet on it! Just did it on same-sex marriage.

I recall a supposedly off-the-record discussion at the White House a week or two ago. Naturally, explicit details were leaked immediately. So much for any "rules" about what is publishable.

because all the Bush supporters are working.
To: Miss Marple
You are totally correct, IMO.

"The Republican governor who did such a good job of comparing Clark's book with his briefing, should have asked one more question:
Mr. Clark, who asked you to give the August briefing to the media?"
Yes, who and exactly what were his instructions. Bet his memory would fail him, again.

This commission panel has no credibilty whatsoever, what with their continual potshots at Condi, and the Jerry Springer crowd in the back of the room just yukking it up at every chance.

Bob Kerrey just squandered his creditibility by slamming FOX for the briefing transcript. Kerrey just gave Big Media sufficient reason to totally ignore the transcript.
When Clarke gave the background briefing he was part of the administration and said today that he was told by the administration to give it.
Fox asked the White House if they could waive "background" on it and the WH agreed.
Kerrey is full of crap.

He didn't resign because he was too important.

Thompson back, Clarke's lip smacking getting grotesque.
Thompson asking about Clarke's resignation.
Clarke said completing a strategy more important than a news story. Huh?
No one in the Bush WH asked him to say things that were untruthful. But one had to put the best face they can on the face for the administration.

Oh my gosh, Kerrey is as bad as Daschle saying that the WH releasing Clarke's letter was "an unprecedented abuse of power." Whose secret was the background briefing to keep, Kerrey, the reporters'? Honestly...

"According to George Tenet, the Clinton Administration knew that Named AlQueda operatives did the Cole. There is no way this should have been left for Bush to clean up."
There was no reason why Clinton couldn't have begun military action against Al Qeda after the Cole bombing. George H.W. Bush began the Somali Operation prior to Clinton coming into office and it was supposed to be nothing more than a humanitarian program. But as we all know, Clinton allowed the U.N. to take control of our operation over there and turned it into a manhunt for Aideed and the death of our soldiers. FDR began our involvement in WWII and Truman finished it. There was no excuse for Clinton not acting immediately after the Cole bombing. There should have been hearings on their lack of action, and people should have been held accountable.

As if Clarke did not betray the background on national security meeting.
This is war, and we have some of our own smearing to do.
