He is a VICTIM now.......the SPIN machine is full bore....as I said in the beginning.....WHITEWASH....and by the way, HE WOULD HAVE CONNECTED THE DOTS!!! He would have prevented 911 too if BUSH only would have listened to him. What the heck is this guy's beef with the Bush admin?
He sits here complaining that he couldn't get things done in 1996 re: airplane attacks, Treasury wouldn't ok it, OMB wouldn't ok it, blah blah blah.
So all of a sudden after 911 he just can't take it anymore, and blows up at the new administration.
This is simply pathetic.

Get ready for President Kerry. Buck up - nobody is paying attention to this except for the political junkies on both sides. John Q. Public is either ignoring this farce or is so confused that he wishes he had ignored it.
This is a non-issue as regards the election, and you can take that to the bank.

What did he say? The facts are as outlined in the press briefing? GOOD HE'S BEING QUESTIONED FURTHER.
To: cyncooper
He says it's all semantics?
The facts are as outlined in the staff briefing (Clarke says).
Thompson says let's look at the briefing because I don't want to play semantic games.

FINALLY!!! The questions was finally put to him. "Which is true, your book or your interview?" He's working on a lame answer, or I mean, Lie.
To: areafiftyone
Clarke: The briefing was meant to minimize blame to the administration so that's what he did.
"Now, we can get into semantic games"...
Thompson says he certainly doesn't want to do that! So he starts reading right from the briefing.

Says press briefing was to cover for the Bush administration--says he doesn't want to get into the "semantics" game.
Thompson says let's have it!
To: TonyInOhio
Let the semantic GAMES begin!!!

The DNC must have slipped Kerrey a large dose of Thorazine. He's been very tranquil today. No .. that is how Kerrey always acts .. Clarke was the DNC boy and now they are trying to save his fat butt
