That thought has crossed my mind numerous times. He's GOT to be watching this and laughing his head off.
To: Carolinamom
Interesting. And with the new Fox stuff, just who is the real Dick Eunich Clarke?

I am losing the respect I gained for Kerrey the last few days very rapidly. He still has time for tough questions. We shall see .. but I still don't trust Kerrey

Will someone explain to me WHY Bob Kerrey is sucking up to Clarke???????Because he's playing the standard Democratic part of the "conscience" of the Commission. He tosses out a few attacks on Demo witnesses to look credible. Then, in his conclusion, he'll lay it all on Bush. Standard playbook. Remember the "conscience of the Senate" Lieberman?

Get ready for President Kerry. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

HE gave the orders to shoot down airliners... Surely someone has the book and can attack his credibility on multiple levels? Dick Cheney will be surprised to hear that.

Even though the tape just broke, these commission members have aides.
I got home at 12:00 and read the FNC transcript for about 4 minutes and understood the importance of it. The only thing I think I missed but another Freeper helped with is that it wasn't just Jim Angle in on the conference call, but a group of reporters.
It should take more than about 5-10 minutes for the commission members to read the transcript and at least ask Clarke how he can square his earlier comments with his comments in his book.

"Clarke didn't do his damn job, and he wonders why he's out of a job."
He wrote the book so that when these hearings came about, it would deflect attention on his piss-poor performance.

"True, but in this case it was the White House that chose the Republican members of this committee. They alway shoot themselves in the foot by placing RINOs in powerful positions (McCain, Chairman of the Ariz for Bush Committee) so that they can damage the conservative cause."
I actually see it a bit different. After Rocky's Leaked Memo, about getting to the "INTEL", it appeared that the lying crooked liberals were on the outs about President Bush's "secret" INTEL. Now while it may appear that President Bush is getting the shaft we cannot forget what this game is about.
Defeating President Bush and they are going after his strength his "credibility". What they use is a LIAR, and one who obviously did not do his job all through the Clinton years.
From what this guy is claiming thus far he is complaining about the same thing without actually saying so. He was left out of the loop and did not get the job he obviously thought he was owed.
This drama being played, is not just for US public consumption, but for the whole world.
Now as John Kerrey talks, remember he was a sitting Senator all through the Clinton administration and was on the Intelligence Committee and he did nothing himself.
To: Miss Marple
Kerrey sympathizing with him and saying he is caught in the middle of this. I confess, I tuned out the hearing and missed this.
I am completely disgusted. This man wrote a book here that was ballyhooed by some committee members all day yesterday and Kerrey asserts that Clarke just happened to get caught in the middle?
Sickening.

Perhaps, they're letting Clarke step fully into the bear trap, hoping to get him by the b*lls when it springs?

We can defeat the Democrats with truth, but not with these jelly spined Republicans on this committee.
