FINALLY A QUESTION ABOUT HIS PRESS BRIEFING!!
To: Miss Marple
Yes, it seems we were all so safe under Clarke's protection. What's with him and Kerrey.
WOO HOO!!!!!!!! Thompson brings up 2002 briefing: "Which is true?"
To: Just mythoughts
Woah, Thompson just hit him with the "which is true" question.
To: All
Why does Wag the Dog come to mind? If anyone is trying to 'wag the dog'it's Clarke. What is he doing? Trying to confuse everyone to the point that he takes the heat off of the Clintoons so that he can dilute the fact that when it came to any hard tactics the Dems just ain't going to do it? He gave the impression before this hearing that the Bush administration knew exactly who the hijackers were, where they were in pleanty of time to avoid 9/11 but simply didn't do it. Now all I'm hearing is BS. I don't blame Ms. Rice for not wasting her time with this.

Thompson says "Which is True???"
To: Mo1
Clarke recommended an air defense system?
That's what he says.
Kerrey extremely gracious to him and says he wants to talk more if there is a round 2 (Oh, there might not be?!).
Thompson up: Right off holds up the book and a transcript of the press briefing and asks "Which is true"?
Clarke: "The question is misleading".

Question is misleading. No, YOU are misleading the families of the victims and all Americans that you knew what AQ was going to do. You did NOT.

"His book is the #1 selling book on amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com. He is making a fortune bashing the President."This means nothing.
Read the snippit and check the link below.
SNIPPIT:"What is a best-seller list? It is a ranking of the relative sales of particular kinds of books at certain groups of stores within a one-week period. Best-seller lists tell us not which books sell the most, in absolute terms, but which fiction, nonfiction, or advice books sell the fastest at the bookstores list makers think deserve attention. A how-to book that sells 20,000 copies in one week will shoot to the top of the best-seller lists, whether or not those are the only copies it ever sells. A novel that sells 200 copies a week for 10 years will never appear on the lists, because each week it will be beaten by faster-selling books.""
