LISTEN TO MICHAEL REAGAN SHOW

Michael Reagan plans to talk about the growing controversy of whether John Kerry was at a meeting in Nov. 1971 in which the hierarchy of Vietnam Veterans Against the War voted on whether to assassinate United States Senators. It is planned for about 6:15 or so, Eastern time.

FReepers, this story is building. It is only going to be contained for so long. A major network show, a major cable show, two major newspapers, and a major magazine are looking into the story. Perhaps a Pullitzer is in the future for reporter Tom Lipscomb.

I saw a thread on DU concerning Lipscomb. Apparently, he has 7 eye-witnesses, one lefty historian, and some redacted FBI docs that place Kerry at the meeting despite his denial that he was there. You're right--this could cut.

We need another blanket denial from Kerry to really make him look bad. If he gets caught lying in the face of solid evidence, every single rumor about his anti-war activities from here on out will start to stick.

I saw in another post earlier today that Kerry apparently did an interview with Dick Cavett, 1971, IIRC.

That tapes supposedly has not circulated.

Someone else posted that CSPAN will run that Cavett interview Sunday.

I haven't heard much about this Cavett interview, but per the posts in that earlier thread, it doesn't appear to be a 'plus' for Kerry.

I assumed Kerry's involvement in VVAW was a move for headlines and a platform for public life. He seems like too much of an opportunist to be involved in such an underhanded plot like assasination which would surely (and if true, hopefully) would come back to haunt him.
