I'm a Cheney chick and never understand the criticism of him. The ONLY criticism of him I would have is that we don't hear or see him enough. THAT was my criticism of him the past few months... that he was invisible and should support Bush more visibly. He sure made good today, it was a very good speech, though I wish he did a little less reading and a little more direct face-to-face, working the crowd. Overall, I was VERY please. Great job Mr. Vice President.

Stalk?!?!?
Once again, GET OVER yourself! Heck, the only reason I even care what you say is the blatant dishonesty. Simply admit what you are - a lefty here to tweak our noses, though somewhat politiely, in order to avoid (properly I may add) the "troll" label. But just stop with the "concerned, cynical conservative" facade. It's obviously bogus.

It always amazes me as a student of American history how history repeats itself. This upcoming 2004 Presidential election is an exact copy of the 1864 election that saw Abraham Lincoln re-elected to POTUS. Lincoln was being ripped apart by George McClellan, the Democrat nominee (the useless, incompetent General), and the "copperhead" Democrat Party for failing to win the war, for failing to bring Union prisoners of war home, for the high casualty rate of both dead and wounded. The Democrats, if elected, would make peace with the Confederates, and the nation would have been forever divided. Lincoln privately wrote in 1864 that he did not think he could be re-elected. But, the people of the United States in their great wisdom and understanding knew what was at stake. Lincoln had finally found his footing and now had Generals that would fight (Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Thomas, etc.). And so.....Mr. Lincoln was re-elected and the Union was preserved and protected!
This upcoming election falls into the exact same critical category. The American people will decide whether they will vote for freedom and independence, or for appeasement and the destruction of the United Staes as we know it. The choice is now very clear. A vote for GW Bush to sustain and protect America or a vote for John Kerry to apppease and give in to the terrorists that seek to destroy the American way of life and the freedom we take for granted. Which side are you on? Abe Lincoln is watching from above, praying that we make the right choice, as we did back in 1864!

" Hey, Freepers from Idaho...how about Freeping the heck out of this dufus while he's "unwinding"???
I'd bet anything that Kerry will make an appearance in Sun Valley, so he can ski for the media and pretend that he is a " manly man." I hope the Idaho Freepers and the RNC will clock exactly how long Kerry stays on the slopes.
One run and back to the mansion, is my guess.
And let's keep a running tally of how many days Kerry takes off to "rest. " Just like the media does every summer, when President Bush goes to the ranch in August.

My tactic with those libs is to feign agreement then after a while sort to murmur things that "pain me" and subtly undermine their candidate. I am using psychological warfare cause they are totally irrational. It is easy to undermine them. And then I say in a sad, regretful voice,,"I just cannot vote for Kerry, he just seems , oh, I hate to say, so, dishonest" And confess I am voting for Bush but not to tell anyone.

HOn, I work in liberal heaven. There is one conservative in my workplace and we meet in secret. So the trick is to appear so reluctant to criticize. Soirt of whisper it, like you are being blasphemous. I swear, it works every single time. You would be shocked to know how many of them can be converted.

According to Rush, the street was predicting this Cheney hayburner, so Kerry decided at the last minute to give a speech at the same time. HOWEVER, the Iraqi bombing erupted and the TV stations cut away from his speech!! FOX carried both Cheney's speech and the Iraqi bombin on split screen. Nobody heard Kerry!
