Interesting enough, FOX had burning fires from Baghdad on the split screen as Cheney was KO'ing Kerry.

One thing that will help in election will be VP choice of Hanoi John French Kerry now that Chris Matthews and others have opened the door to gush about John McCain as VP for Kerry. McCain will NEVER take the job because (a) he is truly opposed to Kerry after years of his supporting communists & despot dictators + (b) McCain likes to be his own man and would be isolated to irrelevancy. The whole thing is really a joke but one that can now help the pubbies. When Kerry names his VP we can now mock the choice as a total lightweight, after all, anybody Hanoi John now picks will appear to fall far, far short of McCain and will obviously be a grave disappointment for Dems & media at large. When Cheney gets the VP debate that will be another time to remind people how weak Kerry & his VP choice were, particularly when they led everybody to believe somebody of the caliber of John McCain was going to be selected and all we got was ______________ (fill in the blank, it doesn't matter, all the names suggested are weak liberals or purely political selections)

I think John Kerry could turn the publicity from Cheney's speech into a positive... and push sales of his book:

..that may be more fun then the presidential debatesAlmost, as GWB's reaction when Gore crossed the stage was unparalleled. Cheney vs. Liberman was a close second.

Halliburton has been around since WW II. It only gets brought up NOW with an attachment to Cheney as former CEO. It's a non-story.
In fact, Clinton cut the funding to oversee these "favored" companies.

Wonder how Al Querry is going to reply to this speech ..... He'll whine that his patriotism has been attacked, that the GOP is going negative, and will ask Cheney if he (Cheney) is a Republican.
I'm curious if the media will cover Cheney's speech. It was outstanding.

" The other nite Dennis Miller said Bush needed to let "the big C" out,,said he would rip off Kerry's face and make a purse out of it. "
Thats exactly what he did !
After the events of the last week and the constant lies presented by Kerry & co. that was much needed shot in the arm.

hell, I almost need a rest after that speech...I was laughing to much thinking about how the hell Kerry was going to try to respond ti this speech.

Cheney is so impressive, every time he talks. The voters must realize that it's not just Bush they are considering, but the team he has assembled. Do you really want to vote out Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rice, Rumsfeld, etc. and take the chance on what Kerry might bring in there?
