The 'Offended' 911 Group “Peaceful Tomorrows” is funded largely by Teresa Heinz

Peaceful Tomorrows is being portrayed as an independent group of relatives of victims of the 911 attacks. They are getting a lot of press claiming to be outraged over the new Bush ads.
Call me insensitive if you like, but I wonder if this outrage could possibly be a tad overblown, and more likely attributable to the millions and millions of dollars this group has received from endowments chaired by Teresa Heinz, wife of Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry.
According to their own contribution page, Peaceful Tomorrows is a project of the Tides Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
According to an article in the Pittsburgh Review, Between 1995 and 2001, $4.3 million of that money came from the Howard Heinz Endowment. In 2002, it and the Vira Heinz Endowment blessed The Tides Center, a San Francisco spin-off of the Tides Foundation, with another $190,000 while the two endowments gave $1.6 million to the new Tides Center for Western Pennsylvania. (The Heinz Endowments have teamed up with a secretive left-wing group)
The money that flows into The Tides also flows out. They have given grants totaling $489,000 to the Iraq Peace Fund, who used that money to fund the anti-war marches and media costs of 27 groups, including MoveOn.org, whose purpose is to defeat George W. Bush.
Other Tides Center projects include The Youth Gender Project, which seeks to "empower and support transgender, gender-variant, intersexed and gender-questioning youth and young adults."
They also shoveled $200,000 towards The Ruckus Society - founded in 1995 to train activists in violent protest against biotechnology, globalization and the World Bank. It incited property destruction in the Seattle riots of 1999 and Washington, D.C., the following year.
Now, if you really want to get mad, you should also know that $8,000,000 in taxpayer money flowed into the Tides Center in the form of federal grants made by eight different agencies between 1997 and 2001.

Regarding victimology, here is an excellent analysis by a freeper: "PonyTailGuy":
I know they're democrats too, not just by their feigned outrage, but by their possessiveness and greediness with their victimhood.
On the left, victimhood is a powerful weapon that's been successfully used in the past to enable their extreme agenda. Recently, it's being used as the pretext for defending the lawless mayors around America who are shamefully approving gay marriages. After all, what cold-hearted person can side against gays, who are victims of discrimination? In victimhood is power.
But victimhood is an exclusive club, monitored closely by the left; and they're very jealous of letting outsiders in. Leftists hoard their victim status precisely because it is a weapon. It must be reserved for a those who share their approved agenda for America.
What's going on here is plain to see if you listen closely. Leftists don't want to let 9-11 be America's outrage, America's pain. If it were, then we'd all be justified in our natural and instinctive trust that President Bush was and is the right man at the right time. Leftists will have none of that. They want to define who the real victims are, and then stage tearful press conferences using these shills as their mouthpieces to teach us that we have all been hoodwinked by President Bush. "Don't believe your lying eyes," they'll tell us, "listen to the victims. Victims know!"
To fight back, WE must maintain forcefully and in their face that 9-11 was not their private tragedy, let alone a tragedy to be exploited for the ironic purpose of electing a radical pacifist as President. No, 9-11 was America's tragedy. And we in the heartland are thankful that it was President Bush at the head of state when those planes attacked.
Never forget.
God Bless AMERICA.

Rush played the snippets of these people doing the rounds on TV.
It was so transparent how they used the same phrases.
Truly amazing that they thought of the same things to say.................>sarcasm
Unfortunately the great masses who hear these things in the news won't think of the orchestration this took, or realize it's an orchestrated and long planned move.

Kerry himself plays himself the victim in order not to appear the first one to "go negative." Kerry has a big habit of saying he'd never resort to dirty trick politics and also tell his camp not to do that either .. but then give the wink wink to his buddies to stick it to the other guy.

Enough said.

They are also seeking
"nonviolent solutions to terrorism". I would like to know what they think those are: lying down and doing everything the terrorists orders us to do, hoping, then they may not kill us?
Their goal is : "To promote a safe, open dialogue on alternatives to war."
Mission of PT
I am sure Bin Laden is rolling on the floor laughing.

I keep looking through the website of "peaceful tomorrows".
Their links page has links to all the leftist peacenik organizations, and even to Moveon.org!
AND to "Voices in the Wilderness", which I think someone tracked down as a front organization for some communist and anti-war organizations.

>Fenton Communications was the outfit that pushed the "roadless area initiative" really hard in 1998-1999. I used to receive e-mails from them.
Dollars to donuts that they're to be, if they aren't already, doing the multimedia advertising for the Kerry campaign.

Hope you're right.
When you see this reported on the alphabet networks and the Washington Post let me know.
WE're all angry cause it's so transparent.
The double standard still works though. The networks won't report our outrage, just the orchestrated Dem outrage.

I rarely if ever do stories on national issues in the college newspaper since we don't have room, but the reporter in me is taking over on this one......the crap on Kerry that is coming out is some real dirt, not just this but his wishy-washy voting, admitting to atrocities etc.
This story is probably the biggest, but I doubt any of the media will pick it up...
