First off, let me make it very clear that I think John Kerry is a traitor and a liar. However, saying that he is guilty of war crimes means that the U.S. commited war crimes when we fire bombed Dresden and nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It doesn't matter if he committed war crimes or not. What matters is that he believed he was committing war crimes when he was doing it. Now all they have to ask him is if he committed war crimes, and when he says no, you've got another flip flop adjustment of the facts to meet his needs example.

Do you have audio for the full quotation, as posted at #65?

It would be a mistake to focus on whether or not Kerry's statements make logical sense -- assume they're true, assume they're nonsense -- makes no difference.
From a political standpoint, this little audio clip is a pure gold.
Someone should create an animated cartoon with this audio as the narration, and Kerry dressed up like Rambo, first machine-gunning villagers and then using a flame thrower to torch the village to the ground.

Ping. I verified the transcript. It is accurate.

Transcript:
I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free-fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50-caliber machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search-and-destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions. . .

Even though there is not much there, hearing him explain those statements might have entertainment value.

The fact is that Kerry is the one saying he's committed war crimes. He reiterated that little gem not long ago on CNN. If he really believes he did - and he does not admit to killing several civilians, which he did do - why didn't he or doesn't he turn himself in? Kerry's statements aren't irrational. They're deliberately disingenius.
No wonder Hillary! decided to endorse him (after he locked the nomination). If he could commit all the crimes he says he did within 4 months, how many Wacos, Ruby Ridges and worse could he commit in 4 years?

I have no problem with that. If they gave me a 20 mm, I would have use it. My rule was (is), if you shoot at me I shoot back with the best weapon I have.

Senator Kerry, specifically which villages did you burn, and why? I think the correct phrasing is, "What did he burn, and when did he burn it?"

The Dem's (in there blinding hatred for Bush) never stopped long enough to evaluate there nominee. Just beat Bush at all cost. Now,as the smoke slowly lifts, they will be forced to look directly at what they have pushed on stage.

Okay, let me get this straight:
(1) John Kerry admits to being a war criminal by committing, by being complicit with, and by failing to stop war atrocities.
(2) John Kerry's foreign policy platform has a central plank in it of restoring the United States in the fold of nations by fostering understanding, friendships, the Kyoto Treaty, and (most probably) the World Court.
(3) So under a Kerry Administration, John Kerry would have to surrender to the jurisdiction of the World Court and stand trial for his own war crimes.
