These threads are a lot of fun and the Oscars are fun to watch to make fun of these clowns. Just wish I had a TV up here in the computer room.

Tim Robbins is pretty sure to win. I think he'll avoid speechifying though. Just a hunch.
And I suspect Errol Morris will win the Docu category, and even though his film is Fog of War, I think he'll show a bit more class than last year's "documentary" winner.
I think the speeches will be tame this year.

Even Gwyneth's saggy concave ones? I love men. You are so forgiving when it comes to imperfect nudity.

You're telling me. It's gonna be a long enough thread without all the "I'm not watching that Hollywood filth" posts.

But to whine, cry and stomp your feet and scream from the rooftops that you want no part of everyone else's fun, is just plain juvenile. Sorry 'bout that and hate it for you, m'aam. But Ocsar at this time, in this forum is the Perfect Lightning Rod.

Actually it won't matter if it is nominated for anything.
Human Beings will know it was the blockbuster for 2004, the others will be just stewing in their own juices.
But by the time next year comes around, the Hollywood Elites will see it is in their best interests to give it several nominations.

Braveheart is a brilliant counterprogramming move. Whoever scheduled that should get a bonus this year.

I just saw this one. (Only film I saw this year.) Not just kind of sweet,
but also sort of true -- as in real -- and well made. Makes a set with Crumb |

BOYCOTT THE OSCARS! It's just an excuse to have dimwitted atheist commie winners bash Bush and Gibson's Christ.

For many freepers,
this is a series issue.
They'll shower all night...

Maybe one of these days we should start a betting pool at the beginning of your LIVE threads. How many people will post just to make some comment about how they aren't interested in the thread (for whatever reason)?
I'll be monitoring on and off for all the great humor and pictures these threads provide. I'd also like to see RotK get some important awards. Finally, I do want to know if any of the Hollywood idiots make deragatory comments about President Bush or Mel Gibson.
