A serious case of poor taste exhibited in those pics.

I never miss a chance to make fun of the liberal elite!!! And don't forget that this year they won't have any time limits on speeches.
I did see Faye Dunaway say this morning that the Oscars should be about the acting, not about politics.
She may have a horrible face lift, but she is 100% correct.

I personally refuse to watch a bunch over over paid, liberal political speeches. Nothing like free advertisings for the RATS!

This is why you have to pray for Bill Murray to win. From Penn, we get usual commie agit prop, from Murray we will get an always funny acceptance speech.

Agreed. I would have sneeked a peak, tonight, to see him. Since He's not, I can avoid Hollywierd Alltogether now.
They can stick their oscars where the Sun does not shine as far as I'm concerned.
Hollywierd get their marching orders from these people anyway:

Haven't watch it for years because I can't stand (1) who gets nominated and (2) what gets nominated. Considering that the people in the motion picture business are the only ones that vote, I'm not surprised as to why I or others aren't interested. If anyone gets the price, I hope it's Peter Jackson. The ONLY movie I went and paid money to see in a theatre in 2003 was "Return of the King."

Bad Oscar Fashion.Bjork's dead swan frock--how could we forget that masterpiece. And check out Babs bending over. I'll bet Bill Clinton remembers that one. Ewww!

I saw it today. I'm still processing my own response. However, I would categorically recommend the film as the best and most artistic of any film made of any portion or aspect of the life of Christ.
a beautiful day in l.a.

I'm taking some bets now. How long into the show will it be untill we hear thisI'll take some of that action. 45 minutes, tops.
Although it could be sooner, will probably depend on what order they give the awards, and if Sean Penn wins for Best Actor.

Stephen Lang should have received at least a nomination for his role in "Gods and Generals." His performance of Stonewall was electrifying.

Oscar presenters to be big winners
By Associated Press
No matter who takes home the little golden statues, everybody who makes it on stage at Sunday night's Academy Awards is going to win big.
And we mean big.
According to USA Today, every celeb who's kind enough to put up with the painful inconvenience of sharing themselves with the world as a presenter or a performer during the awards show will receive a hefty gift bag filled with goodies worth a sweet $110,000 (compared with the lame-o $27,000 bags the Grammys give out).
The bounty includes a gift certificate for a $6,000 43-inch Samsung DLP HDTV, plus a year of satellite TV; a pair of round-trip business-class tickets on Air New Zealand from L.A. to Auckland (a gift celeb-watcher Joan Rivers declares is really cheesy); a $1,500 steak dinner at Morton's (that is a veritable bucketful of steak!); and, to help digest that steak, there's also a $500 Krups espresso machine (probably the cheapest item in the bag).
