All real NYers check Ch. 11 first.

You are *such* a metrosuburbosexual!

I spent my childhood watching the daily offering of Star Trek repeats at 6 PM on WPIX - that explains a lot.

Indeed...

That's it. I'm officially rooting AGAINST ROTK. Too much is too much. Yes it was good - we get it.

jazz singer was NOT first Hollywood film to have sound and picture.

Synched sound (optical soundtrack) on film goes back to 1922. The technique was stolen from the inventor by the industry. I saw a documentary on it last year at the Houston Film Fest.

He was also pivitol in the development of amplified sound.

He won his day (but little reward) somewhere in the 1950s even though he had pursued the case for decades.

Not that I didn't like LOTR but I think the Master and Commander sound was legitimately better.

I really wish there was some way we would only have to pay for FoxNewsChannel as that is what our TV is tuned to 90% of the time.

Me too. If it wasn't for that and 2 regional channels that carry Braves games, I would drop down to the Top60 and save some bucks. :-(

HE RIPPED THAT STORY OFF FROM A FRENCH CHILDREN'S BOOK!

It's a clown fish. If a clown fish is used as a cartoon character it's going to look like that.

Hey... Great job with the Tri-Staters, Viet Nam vets and Vietnamese Americans at the anti-Kerry rally yesterday. Your pics were fantastic as always! :-)

Thanks, but there's much that can be done with a digital camera that has good resolution and with Photoshop. :)

I think they are giving LOTR a disproportionately large number of wins to balance out the way the Academy has cheated them on the first two films.
