I dunno about that - but he failed miserably with his Bush impersonation - the audience did not catch it.

They're playing "Hail to the Chief" for Tom Hanks!
He is a first cousin to George W Bush. He is the son of George H.W. Bush's brother, Jonathan.

Is he really? Where is this written??

I believe that Renee is seriously dating the guy in the rock group 'The White Stripes'. I think his name is Jack. They're pretty good, and have a great sound for just a two person act. Theirs was one of the best performances at the Grammys.

I am sure it must have been. But Finding Nemo was quite simply better. And I do not have to see Triplets to know that. As I said elsewhere, Finding Nemo was the best film I saw last year. Period. No way Triplets could have reached that high.

Isn't it inappropriate to play "Hail to the Chief" for anyone other than the President?

Yes, it is. I guess we should be happy they didn't play it for Michael Moore.

Go do something else, then, sour puss. The tribute is for Bob Hope.

Go back and read my post, if you have that ability:

Bob Hope, God rest his soul, would NOT have been pleased with "Hail to the Chief" being played for Tom Hanks.

That said, "God bless you Bob".

I think Hanks noticed the inappropriateness...he was cringing.

I was never much of a Zellwiger fan, but she showed a lot of class and poise.

I hardly ever watch this sort of thing, and I watch about 1 movie a year, but the event, preview included seems very upbeat and sincere...far more interesting personalities than out of control egos, as I judge it.

I am left thinking Hollywood is being given a bad name by the activists and loudmouths, for the most part.
