[history]
February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

"We just recognize the media's snow job for what it is. Most folks are either too obtuse, too vegged out on the couch or too busy to connect the dots."I am patiently awaiting the next "lash." I know it will happen, I just hoped it would have happened already so we could shut the libs up and flatten the terrorists and their harborers once and for all. (Unless of course the "lash" -- whether terrorist or divine -- takes us all out and America exists no more... That is certainly what the jihadis are counting on.)

It's taking an awfully long time to come up with answers. When the nightclub in Bali was bombed AQ claimed responsibility and it wasn't disputed. It was an Indonesian terror cell. My guess is that this is an AQ cell and that its members are probably Algerian and Morroccan.

Not only the rumbling in the ground, but their desire to hit US oil and gas, Saudi oil, etc.

Possibly a test run of bottles filled with a different kind of liquid.

Well, if you think how hard it is, say if they decide to hit our rail system and how travel is much more used than airflight, how can they warn anything without even knowing where we will be hit?

Yes. Plus, the suggestion that Cuba may have furnished missiles to a number of ships. Plus, the references stating that some of the AQ mystery ships had both explosives and germs, the intent being to blow the ship up in a harbor and spread the germs.

Al Qaida and the bombings in Spain
Just because they claim credit doesn't make it so, but as time passes it seems increasingly likely that the multi-national terror corporation we know as Al Qaida played a role in the bombings in Madrid yesterday. Certainly the forums that are known hangouts for Qaida supporters are all a-twitter over the 'blessed event'
We'll close this entry with some guest commentary from our Toronto Bureau:
I don't know, but that bombing episode in Spain looks a little too much like a calling card from Al qaida & Co.
The bar gets lower with each passing episode.
The sort of response these people need reminds me of a cat we had when I was a teenager. The damn thing used to shit all over the house. I was politely told at lunch that the two of us were to go out behind the barn and only one of was to come back. Needless to say the cat stayed behind. Forget the trials, it's a god damn war. You get caught killing or plotting against our people and we just put a bullet in you, case closed.
They were interviewing Qadafi's son on 60 minutes and the interview made it's way to the house where the Americans killed Qadafi's kid. The now adult son who was a teenager at the time and almost got dusted himself said he did not think about forgiving the Americans for killing his sibling. He said it was a war, we send them bombs and we accept bombs in return. He said he accepted the rules as they were.
I can't possibly describe the surprise at such clarity coming from anyone in the Arab world. Either the guy is the biggest bullshitter or he's had an epiphany of cosmic proportions. Unfortunately half the population of the free world hasn't clued into these "rules". I think they must be running around with little buckets of sand, just in case of an emergency.
I hear the alarm clock, time to wake up people.

Hubby saw this guy last night and it was one of those hair on the back of your neck deals and he did write it all down, which shocked me

Actually I'm working on an article on this very topic. I'll post it when I'm finished. Basically the answer is "yes"

Calpernia is not Steve. Course it doesn't appear that accuracy is one of your strong points considering the comment you posted.

Even though the threat level hasn't been raised, here in Atlanta this afternoon they had a Police Helicopter flying fairly low over downtown. I overheard two police officers saying "they've got the chopper up and a few cruisers/vans going around town"
I don't think they had a specific tip or anything but they were actively patrolling.

ALGORITHM
There are 10 deviations all equal to 10 - 10= 0.. Total of the deviations = 10
Location of an attack:
{seriously reaching}
compared to a map that now has deviations of almost 10 percent from the most to least populous
A proposed map of the state senate districts unveiled Tuesday would force some incumbent Democrats into districts with each other and hand others considerably more Republican-leaning turf to defend.
