As I recall, the last time he was surrounded, our Afghani "allies" made a deal with us along the lines of "Hey, you give us money, we go get Osama, we throw in free rug."
Hope we've learned something.

If OBL is captured Kerry might as well withdraw from the race.

uNLESS this is actually delayed news . . . it was later than 16 Feb but still quite welcome to hear.
We shall see.
Could explain Bush's no comment on whether he knew where Bin Laden was or not.

I want to see bin Laden captured, convicted of murder, and put to death preferably by public hanging.

If Bin Laden is captured, the Dems will wait about one week and then argue that Bush now has no excuse that everything in the world, including, but not limited to, the economy, is perfect.
The media will, naturally, pick up on this theme, with a multitude of articles about how the Bush presidency is now adrift, lacking any other vision for the Country. Either Time or Newsweek will print a cover story entitled "Now What?" that implies there is no longer any reason for Bush to remain in office after November.
These pigs will spin anything as an attack on our President.

If Bin Laden is captured alive before the elections, he'll have a chance to vote for Kerry!

Catching him around Oct 25th would probably be really good timing.

B.S. If George Bush knew where Bin Laden was he would bin in an orange jumpsuit in about 5 minutes. The paper says the hostile terrain makes an all-out conventional military assault impossible. The plan to capture him would depend on a "grab-him-and-go" style operation.
B.S. There is no terrain on this earth too hostile for a US military assault to get Bin Laden. They could get enough volunteers to charge into an erupting volcano if Bin Laden was hiding in the crater.
To: Patriot1998
The special forces are "absolutely confident" there is no escape for bin Laden, and are awaiting the order to go in and get him.Give me a break!
if we know all that, he would be in custody or dead.

OH GEEZ FOLKS! Don't get your hopes up high! We've been there before only to be disappointed! IF we did have OBL surrounded, don't you think our military brass would have kept it hush-hush? Remember SaddEMON was a total black out until they knew for certain they had him! There something about the articles coming out on this that just don't jive!!
To: Patriot1998
I still think that OBL shaved his beard, got a YANKEE ball cap and is driving a cab in NY!
