From Ha'aretz According to the archaeologists of the Committee for Preventing the Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount, the underground work done by the Muslim waqf and the Israeli Islamic Movement in the area of Solomon's Stables and the ancient Al-Aqsa over the last few years has altered the land and increased the danger of a collapse. Snow can weigh as much as 20lbs per square foot to as much as 150lbs per square foot (varies by depth and density). Using the low end end numbers over a normal width street for a city block (33ft x 660ft x 20lbs/ft2) = 217 tons of snow.
