"might be one of the people mentioned in the internet rumor"?

So there are several women, and none know, exactly, which one Drudge is referring to.

++++++

This is not true. And this is how Free Republic has helped to confuse this story and to diminish it, so that people like Cameron can dismiss it as something that has been conflated on the internet.

The woman Drudge is referring to is Alex Polier.

The other women are 1) the blonde who was reportedly seen leaving Kerry's apartment late at night in 1998 by the Boston Herald. 2) the semi-heiress, Emma Gilbey, who has been mentioned in several tabloids as being involved with Kerry before dumping him for a member of Pink Floyd and then marrying a NY Times reporter.

None of these other women factor in any way in the Drudge piece. I am partially to blame in that I started a thread and talked about the other two women. But I never said that they were the women Drudge was talking about. I was just looking at past allegations. And it turned out that they weren't the women he was talking about.

Unfortunately the material on that thread and elsewhere on the internet got conflated into the story that Drudge was reporting, and so we have the mess we have now. But Drudge was never referencing other women besides Polier.

Interesting that she felt it necessary to deny this. Must feel guilty about something.

Now that's not fair. She has been named by the international media. She has three choice, admit the affair, deny the affair, or say nothing about the affair. She chose one of those routes.

It will be interesting to see if her statement is factually accurate. After all, if Kerry is trying to capture some of the Clinton legacy, he needs her to lie.

I agree. I watched Matthews squirm with one of the generals the other night. While the general said the guard issue was essentially a non-starter, Matthews allowed as to how it might go to the President's "credibility" if he didn't accurately recall every minute of thirty years ago.

Now, if "frenchy" Kerry betrays his own wife with someone literally young enough to be his grand daughter, how is that not revealing of his integrity and credibility ?

"Yeah, I just think that we're gonna have to win this election on the issues. I don't think that there's gonna be any shortcuts to victory"

The problem is, no way are the left and the media (same unit) going to let us get at the "issues". They know that they can't win more than thirty percent with a straight up discussion of the issues. Deceit is their only hope as they incrementalize us toward tyranny.

You said........................But please don't forget, that it was WEASLEY CLARK that put the Kerry/girlfriend story out there...NOT anyone here....we're just playing with it, as I said, kinda like a beach ball, and, if there is no truth to the rumor, it will be on to other important things like working to see that GWB has another four years as Commander in Chief!! 194 posted on 02/14/2004 2:01:44 PM PST by soozla (BUSH/CHENEY 2004**Send John "Effin'" Kerry back to Easter Island!!!!!)

"That proof does NOT have to be the young woman in question admitting to an affair. There are many kinds of proof. Eyewitness testimony, etc."

None of this changes my view of J. F'n Kerry as a liar, thief, traitor and slug. Whether he did it, or not. What is true about this sit. that doesn't change, or detract from my view is that the woman's parents said J. F'n Kerry tried to get in her pants. Whether the affair happened, or not is secondary to that disclosure.

Well, it's supposed to be hard to get elected President. I don't think it should be any harder this time than it was in 2000.

I just don't trust these kind of issues. I mean, if both Kerry and this young lady came out and admitted they had sex, how many people would change their votes over it? And, which way? From beginning to end, this whole thing is ridiculous, IMO. I think it sucks in people who see it as some sort of a shortcut to victory as if we didn't have to concern ourselves any longer with actually appealing to voters on issues that matter. I think that would be a huge mistake. ;-)

Her first name is Alex. Did she used to be a man, and is that when Kerry was stalking her?

What about Alex's girlfriend who supposedly leaked this story? Who is she? Where is she? Didn't she claim there were letters? She seems to have conveniently disappeared from the story.

I've been asking myself the same questions. Something tells me that we will find the answers to all these questions when she appears on the cover of the National Enquirer.

I don't think people see it to a shortcut to victory. Quite the contrary. Kerry has a horrible record and that is what will finish him off. He may believe himself wrapped in the flag and medals, however, we remember the Kerry who viciously lied and maligned the troops still in Viet Nam.

For many of this, this is watching our prediction that Hillary will run this year at a brokered convention. I know many disagree with that.

Of course it will be issues that matter in the end, they always do. However, right now the media/left want something to fire up the Dem base who are not coming out in droves to support their candidates. While extolling the percentages of the wins, the media is neglecting telling everyone that the percentages are of smaller numbers of actual primary voters - the underreported story.

No skin off my nose.

Some seem to think that discussing an issue means investing oneself in a desired outcome or result. Or I've seen references to a shortcut to the election.

Absurd.
