We must all remember this salient fact: Drudge did not name her as Alex Poitier. He did not name her at all, nor did he give any identifiable quantifiers. In fact he said other outlets are sitting on a story about Kerry's possible bimbo eruption (sorry for that image, too.)
Drudge did say on Hannity's show that the woman has a friend who has letters from Kerry to her and that there is a videotape of this woman's interview with a reporter before she left the country.
Perhaps LeHane's shopping around yet another woman. Perhaps Clark's bimbo is yet another woman.
We'll be good little spectators and watch the show while hitting that beach ball around the arena.

**that the girl in Kenya is a cover story.**
That's what came to my mind too.
If there were many, how better to disguise them. Disprove one non-affair and then relate all the others to that "one".
It's Terrr-ACE-Ah that had better bring the hammer down....Prenup or no prenup, she's being played for a fool.

That should end this.
Now Johnny, here my question - "Why didn't you report the war crimes you talked about in your book"
And another one. "Why are you a communist?"
To: Fresh Wind
She should provide her pay stubs and dental records.

this story is starting to squirm like a legless toad goin nowhere. darn, and we had such hope.

She should provide her pay stubs and dental records. What about whether she had hemorrhoids? The public has a right to know!

So the young woman's denial makes this a non-story in your view? I hadn't realized we had such trusting Freepers here.
Bush has been denying he was AWOL too. The story didn't go away.
Kerry can claim he didn't have an affair. The woman can claim she didn't have an affair.
But she obviously told a friend who reported the story to reporters. There are supposedly letters and more. Should ANY proof of any kind be provided, it will be very damaging to Kerry.
That proof does NOT have to be the young woman in question admitting to an affair. There are many kinds of proof. Eyewitness testimony, etc.
I don't understand why you don't think this story has value unless the woman comes forward.

Right you are. Besides, until the Kerry camp releases the letter it doesn't exist. Or at least we should't assume that it does.

"President Clinton did a whole lot of lying when in office. My beef is that what the Republicans focused on was his lying over sex. That focus is what caused the backfire."Thank you for the link....I have bookmarked them for further study....and I DO understand exactly what you are saying!!
My mom always told me to choose my "battles" carefully and I agree with you, it was unfortunate that the seediest aspect of Clinton's impeachment articles is the one for which he will go down in history. He should have been collared on much, much more serious charges, which he was guilty of(IMHO).....charges affecting national security.
I think that the Republicans didn't realize to what extent they would be "stonewalled" in the investigation, therefore, like water, they probably took the path of least resistance......and what didn't come to light much, were the consequences of his Presidency that are having and will continue to have, greater impact........technology to China, etc.
But please don't forget, that it was WEASLEY CLARK that put the Kerry/girlfriend story out there...NOT anyone here....we're just playing with it, as I said, kinda like a beach ball, and, if there is no truth to the rumor, it will be on to other important things like working to see that GWB has another four years as Commander in Chief!!

I saw it and basically agree there are other issues on which we can hurt Kerry far worse than his having an affair.
However, if EVERYONE would take the time to e-mail the media regarding the points I've outlined that Lehane, Clark and Gore all knew and blabbed that Kerry had a bimbo problem - the media would have to pay attention for once and they would drop their efforts to blame the GOP.

The Lewinsky Affidavit
Released on Friday, March 13, 1998
Following is the full text of Monica S. Lewinsky's affidavit, signed on Jan. 7, 1998, and submitted to lawyers for Paula Jones on Jan. 16. The statement was one of several documents made public by Jones's lawyers on March 13 as part of their opposition to a motion by Clinton's lawyers to dismiss the case.
Attorneys for Jones refered to Lewinsky as a "Jane Doe".
1. My name is Jane Doe # . I am 24 years old and I currently reside at 700 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20037.
2. On December 19, 1997, I was served with a subpoena from the plaintiff to give a deposition and to produce documents in the lawsuit filed by Paula Corbin Jones against President William Jefferson Clinton and Danny Ferguson.
3. I can not fathom any reason that the plaintiff would seek information from me for her case.
4. I have never met Ms. Jones, nor do I have any information regarding the events she alleges occurred at the Excelsior Hotel on May 8, 1991 or any other information concerning any of the allegations in her case.
5. I worked at the White House in the summer of 1995 as a White House intern. Beginning in December, 1995, I worked in the Office of Legislative Affairs as a staff assistant for correspondence. In April, 1996, I accepted a job as assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Defense. I maintained that job until December 26, 1997. I am currently unemployed but seeking a new job.
6. In the course of my employment at the White House I met President Clinton several times. I also saw the President at a number of social functions held at the White House. When I worked as an intern, he appeared at occasional functions attended by me and several other interns. The correspondence I drafted while I worked at the Office of Legislative Affairs was seen and edited by supervisors who either had the President's signature affixed by mechanism or, I believe, had the President sign the correspondence itself.
7. I have the utmost respect for the President who has always behaved appropriately in my presence.
8. I have never had a sexual relationship with the President, he did not propose that we have a sexual relationship, he did not offer me employment or other benefits in exchange for a sexual relationship, he did not deny me employment or other benefits for rejecting a sexual relationship. I do not know of any other person who had a sexual relationship with the President, was offered employment or other benefits in exchange for a sexual relationship, or was denied employment or other benefits for rejecting a sexual relationship. The occasions that I saw the President after I left employment at the White House in April, 1996, were official receptions, formal functions or events related to the U.S. Department of Defense, where I was working at the time. There were other people present on those occasions.
9. Since I do not possess any information that could possibly be relevant to the allegations made by Paula Jones or lead to possible admissible evidence in this case, I asked my attorney to provide this affidavit to plaintiff's counsel. Requiring my disposition in this matter would cause disruption to my life, especially since I am looking for employment, unwarranted attorney's fees and costs, and constitute an invasion of my right to privacy.
I declare under the penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.

Cameron (who is embedded with Kerry, and I DO mean embedded) has just said that it was a letter from someone who might have been one of the people mentioned in the "internet rumors" swirling around.

If the young woman claimed that she and Kerry had sex and
if there was some additional evidence to support her claim, then
maybe it might have some relevance to Kerry's credibility should he deny the claim and it might affect some voters somwhere.
Without her support, the claim will appear to many like a smear or a dirty trick.
Of course, we could try to "prove" this kind of a claim absent the cooperation of both parties, but we would lose more support than we would gain. Didn't we learn anything about pantysniffing in the last decade? ;-)
