So the young woman's denial makes this a non-story in your view? I hadn't realized we had such trusting Freepers here.
Bush has been denying he was AWOL too. The story didn't go away.
Kerry can claim he didn't have an affair. The woman can claim she didn't have an affair.
But she obviously told a friend who reported the story to reporters. There are supposedly letters and more. Should ANY proof of any kind be provided, it will be very damaging to Kerry.
That proof does NOT have to be the young woman in question admitting to an affair. There are many kinds of proof. Eyewitness testimony, etc.
I don't understand why you don't think this story has value unless the woman comes forward.

Right you are. Besides, until the Kerry camp releases the letter it doesn't exist. Or at least we should't assume that it does.

If the young woman claimed that she and Kerry had sex and
if there was some additional evidence to support her claim, then
maybe it might have some relevance to Kerry's credibility should he deny the claim and it might affect some voters somwhere.
Without her support, the claim will appear to many like a smear or a dirty trick.
Of course, we could try to "prove" this kind of a claim absent the cooperation of both parties, but we would lose more support than we would gain. Didn't we learn anything about pantysniffing in the last decade? ;-)

I agree. I watched Matthews squirm with one of the generals the other night. While the general said the guard issue was essentially a non-starter, Matthews allowed as to how it might go to the President's "credibility" if he didn't accurately recall every minute of thirty years ago.
Now, if "frenchy" Kerry betrays his own wife with someone literally young enough to be his grand daughter, how is that not revealing of his integrity and credibility ?

"That proof does NOT have to be the young woman in question admitting to an affair. There are many kinds of proof. Eyewitness testimony, etc."None of this changes my view of J. F'n Kerry as a liar, thief, traitor and slug. Whether he did it, or not. What is true about this sit. that doesn't change, or detract from my view is that the woman's parents said J. F'n Kerry tried to get in her pants. Whether the affair happened, or not is secondary to that disclosure.
