John Kerry Sex Scandal: U.S. Media Blackout?
MND Newswire ^ | February 13, 2004 | Mike LaSalle

Posted on 02/13/2004 9:31:09 AM PST by new cruelty

According to news reports across the Internet and in various international publications, Democratic Presidential front-runner John Kerry may have had an extramarital affair with a 22-year old blonde intern.

As first reported by the Drudge Report on Thursday, a full-scale investigation into this is underway at Time Magazine, ABC News, the Washington Post, the Hill, and the Associated Press.

But the real story today may be the lack of coverage by the major American news media.

According to a story published today in MensNewsDaily.com, "A source at one of the major television networks (said) that they are specifically forbidden to talk about (the Kerry sex scandal) on the air until one of the other major television networks reports on it first."

A quick search on Google News at this hour shows that only two major U.S. newspapers are running stories on the emerging Kerry sex scandal: The Philadelphia Daily News and the Chicago-Sun Times.

Yesterday, MensNewsDaily.com (MND) posted a brief story on the Kerry sex scandal, but the story was never indexed by Google News. The last time Google News failed to index and MND news item was when MND published the name of Kobe Bryant's accuser.

Internationally, the Kerry sex scandal story has been covered by the UK Sun, the UK Telegraph, various Australian papers.

The New York Times today published a piece defending Kerry against Republican attacks, declaring "the beginning of what party officials said would be an attempt to undercut Mr. Kerry's reputation at a time when he is riding high from repeated victories in primaries and caucuses." The Times piece did not mention the sex scandal by name.

According to an exclusive report released overnight by political gossip guru Matt Drudge, Kerry is preparing a response to the groundswell of questions surrounding this developing story.

I was just remembering that when the LA Times were doing their smear job on Schwarzenegger how they would always be sure to mention that they were not being tools for the DNC.

Rather odd how they would go out of their way to do that???

Anyways if this were truly a Republican smear campaign wouldn't it make more sense to wait until after Kerry got the nomination?!?!?

There should be an investigation into this. If the major US media are colluding to suppress political news that overseas media find newsworthy (as the "un-named" source actually claims), then something is wrong with our media. Very wrong. Perhaps some of these media empires should be broken up or have some licenses revoked.

Made me recall the one great man who was associated with the institution [Clark U]: Dr. Robert Goddard.

They pretty much rolled up the physics and mathematics departments after he left. (He wasn't very good at playing the departmental politics game as a department head, either).

But they have an awful lot of courses in "resentment-group studies" now. They don't need that dead-white-guy stuff like icky numbers. They are turning out a lot of 6th grade educations, thinly concealed by college degrees.

'And Juanita Broaddrick took how many? Believe me, they can bury this. We don't know yet if that is their intention, but they are clearly treating it different than they would any story on Bush (surprise, surprise).'

That's a given. But again, they love $candal and the copy it $ell$. The counter is, of course, their desire to beat W. The latter may trump it but methinks it won't. Time will tell. In the meanwhile, my hatred for the traitors to the Fourth Estate grows...

The obvious media double standard in treatment of this story may itself be the bigger story.

Just heard the 1 PM WRKO Boston news. No mention of it. Just a report on Clark endorsing Kerry.

The problem these stations have, is their talk shows discuss it. Eventually the listeners realize how far behind the curve the news is. - Tom

because Newsweak spiked Issikoff's story

Which Newsweek did in that case, precisely why the press in general is helping to bury the Kerry scandal: it is fully committed to the victory of its political party and will pay any price, bear any burden, report any lie, suppress any truth to ensure the survival and success of the Democratic nominee.

To coin a phrase, "THE GENIE IS OUT OUT OF THE BOTTLE"~!

The media is well aware of how they will look after all the intense "investigations" into the Presidents guard service, and to completely ignore something like this as well as go so far as to protect that "SLIMEBALL" will not sit well with the over 50% of the voters who are conservative by nature. Look at Janet Jackson.......

She did go to Clark. I assure you a person named Alexandra Polier graduated from Clark Univ in Worcester in 2000.

This whole business about Alex Polier is a Democrat smear operation. Al Gore, Chris Lehane, Weasely Clark (acting as sock puppet), and the shadowy presence of Herself.

Ya know, it's not the dinky dunkin affair that's the issue here. The issue is that just how responsible is engaging in an affair after having seen and experienced what Clinton pulled?

Would a good leader be so obtuse to the past failings of our former president, as to repeat the same mistake? Is it with similar judgement and skill that he would be our president?

What a hugh moron.

What a sad excuse for the best the democrat party has to offer.....

"Is there any evidence beyond Drudge that there is a story here? If the woman chooses not to come forward, which is her right, why would there be a story here? It's not a sexual harassment case where there is discovery.
"

No, apparently, there isn't any evidence beyond Drudge, and little evidence there. I think FNC and the other major media groups are going to give this a pass until there's something factual to report.

Who are the reporters who Clark spoke to?
Who is the woman? (the named person may well not be the one)

We're wasting time with this story, I think. Playing into the hands of the Dems, who want this to inoculate them.

This means that Kerry was having an affair with Alex at the same time Bill Clinton was having his affair with Monica.

It will be covered in France before it is covered in New York. But, the times they are a changing. The days when the press could control the way we think are numbered. NO more could a president boink himself silly, like JFK. This will get out--poor Alexis will become the new Monica. I don't think the south will go for another Yankee with low morals (even if they are a war hero). It will come in due time.

If those were the fathers comments after sending his daughter to intern for a Democrat Senator, I'd say that is one dumass father with a tendancy to monday morning quaterback and wear rose colored glasses.

Anyone who sends their kids to intern in Washington or state capitol should be found guilty of pimping.
