KERRY HIT BY SEX CLAIMS
The Democrat most likely to challenge George Bush for the presidency of the United States is at the centre of an alleged sex scandal.
The website which broke the news of Bill Clinton's infidelity says married Senator John Kerry had a two-year affair with a young woman, beginning in spring 2001.
The Drudge Report, which attracts millions of readers, says the woman has recently fled the US to Africa at the prompting of Mr Kerry.
It also reports that his former rival for the Democratic nomination, General Wesley Clark, told reporters in an off-the-record conversation last week: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."
Internet columnist Matt Drudge said three reporters could confirm the comments by former Nato Supreme Allied Commander Clark, who quit the race for the party's nomination amid poor results.
Wealthy heiress
Mr Clark has since refused to confirm his comments and has endorsed Mr Kerry's nomination.
The report also claims that Time magazine, ABC News, The Washington Post and Associated Press - where the woman in question is said to have once worked - had been investigating her relationship with Kerry for several days.
The allegations first emerged late last year when a close friend of the woman spoke to reporters, according to the report.
Decorated Vietnam veteran Mr Kerry is married to Theresa Heinz Kerry, the wealthy heiress to the food empire.
Runaway favourite
Originally from Massachusetts, he is currently the runaway favourite to win the Democratic ticket to run against President Bush in November.
He has won 12 of the 14 state primaries and caucuses held so far.
The senator is expected to defend himself against the claims on US TV later today, but has made no comment yet.

It'll be fun to see in what way his wife is gonna 'Maim' him! She'll have his fava beans for lunch with a fine Chianti....and some Heinz ketchup.
I'm sure she knows at least 57 varieties of torture.

The real question should be "what woman in her right mind finds this man vaguely attractive?" I sure as hell don't. Probably the same kind as what found Clinton attractive. I think if a guy has money --- or his wife's money, there are women who will think he's attractive.

It'll be fun to see in what way his wife is gonna 'Maim' him! Hillary is probably advising her right now. She'll end up going with the fame and forture being First Lady would give her --- just like Hillary. Democrat women seem to be very complacent about their husbands' affairs. Kennedy women are another good example --- social status matters more to them than a real marriage.

The woman named in the UK Sun -- Alex Polier [Polier? I hardly know 'er!] -- was covering the Westminster Dog Show for the Associated Press a day or two ago. Now a sudden interest in Rhodesian Ridgehounds? Curiouser and curiouser.

The Sun is owned by Murdoch, as is Skynews. Where is Foxnews on this story ? It is like they are doing an out-of-town opening for a Broadway show.

I think Kerry is going to lie through his teeth - we were just friends, nothing happened, yada yada, this a GOP smear but at least it will hit the lamestream press.

Your remark about Theresa's threats, lead me to think about the song from Cindarella, you know , bibbity, bobbity boo. I thought the analogy might be humourous. Having googled the term,(just in case) I find it best to just let it lie. I am soooooo, naive.

And we have to go to the internet and overseas to keep up with this. The lamestream media's behavior here will not be forgotten. Most of the media are Democrat supporters. If this story were about George Bush the ethical journalists and broadcasters would be pushing it in every paper and on every channel.

They can not be trusted with America's future.

I bet Kattie and Matt were all over this story this morning, right? Or were Timberlake and the Jacksons more important. They probably spent 20 minutes on W's National Guard service.

Now we know why Americans don't trust the media any longer nor do they respect them--frankly they are just not very smart--don't know how to dig for a story--maybe they are not only dumb but lazy--i.e, the Washington Press Corp dwelling on the NG issue...of course the holier than thou "mainstream" media do not want to "dignify" a story which started in the Inquirer...but wait a minute...didn't they run the story from the Inquirer about a conservative talk show host? Can they not see how they look to the American people? Do they care if they do?
