Drudge now reporting Lehane "shopped" the Kerry story for some time.
Lehane worked for Kerry at one point.

This has 'Clintons' written all over it.
Clark was their puppet candidate and they need badly to maintain their control over the Democratic Party.
There is bad blood between the Clinton faction and the Kennedy faction (all about power and control) so it is absolutely necessary that Kerry loses whether it be in November or sooner.
Since they never do anything directly, it's obvious that they are using their 'intelligence network' to get the goods on Kerry and allow it to 'leak' out.
This is getting GOOD!

Will Press Pounce on Drudge's Kerry Rumor?
Published: February 12, 2004 Updated at 1:30 PM EST
NEW YORK Matt Drudge's Web site, which first broke allegations about President Bill Clinton's dalliance with a White House intern in 1998, is at it again.
Late this morning, DrudgeReport.com alleged that a new scandal was about to rock the campaign of Democratic frontrunner John Kerry: some sort of purported recent marital "infidelity" that involved a woman who once worked for the Associated Press, and has now supposedly "fled the country."

To: miltonim
Does this story have any legs? I am surprised you found this. I did a Google search on Kerry and Infidelity and came up with nothing. It would appear that Drudge is the exclusive, but I can't even find Clark's quote.
If this is wrong or stale, it would actually help Kerry more than hurt.

And fortunately the Dems don't understand how much better off they would be if they cut the cord with both factions.

Clark was their puppet candidate and they need badly to maintain their control over the Democratic Party I don't think they counted on Clark self-destructing the way he did. This Kerry story did not germinate yesterday, but when Clark was looking good - to some.
