I thought because there is a poll on FR that says "If it's Kerry vs Bush how will you vote?" it would be good to start a thread on the matter for people to explain how they voted in the poll, if they choose to do so.

Dole, the Viagra poster boy. Of COURSE people voted for Clinton. People want a vital candidate for president. They are not going to vote for someone who has no vitality, no matter the party. Out of 300 million people, the best the Republican party could come up with was Dole? It was like giving an Academy Award to an old actor simply because they hadn't won one and the time to do so seemed right.
Not a bad strategy for the Academy Awards, but quite a self- defeating strategy to win control of the presidency.
Did I vote for Clinton in 96? You bet I did.(Of course, I didn't know then what I know now) I'd rather have an "evil" genious than a washed up old has-been, in line for reasons of seniority.
They don't call us the "stupid party" for nothing.
Let's wise up!

And that's where he and the rest of them should stay! They don't belong on FR.

I think Lieberman marched with Dr. King, didn't he?

Maybe so WG.
I have just had enough of that "WHO is GONNA BE BANNED NEXT" mentality...because I know where it comes from.

lesser of two evils thing. I dont care for some of the Bush policies but i know he has the cajones to fight terrorism Conservative are mad. They should be. Bush has not cut spending. Still, this is not a lesser of two evils question.
Bush is a mediocre manager right now that has pretty good leadership skills. He might even make a dent in spending. He did cut taxes.
Cutting taxes is going to slow spending, eventually.
But the Dem's are pure socialists, and many admit it. They are spinning and doing everything they can to make themselves look conservative enough to win.
Deception is an evil. Poor spending management is not an evil, yet.

I was just happy enough to see the results of the poll here because it made my previous tag line even that more relevant.
Complainers change their complaints, but they never reduce the amount of time spent in complaining.~

I have no problem with a third party. I'm really a constitutionalist. But....... we can't expect miracles, we can't elect a dictator. I'm all for taking over the GOP with conservatives, the more the merrier. In today's society, it's impossible to create a new party without significant masses. Our democratic public schools have allowed the dumbing down of our kids, and parents, wanted the feel good results. (thanks hippys) Our founding fathers purposely put in place a redundant slow process so one person could not be a dictator of this Great Country. People have to realize, Bush is limited in his powers. It's amazing that some here think Bush can just change the course of this country with a signature. They have no concept of reality.
To: Godebert
Dead, " liberty " will mean nothing to you. :-)
