Some of the incidents that I recall after 9/11/01 and into 2002 were what seemed like a large number of train derailments. I just did a quick google search on derailments, and these are the most recent. Also derailments in UK, more in Canada, and Australia. These could be a common occurence, maybe the weather this time of the year. The recent train with hazardous chemicals that derailed in MD this past week, piqued my interest into checking on other recent occurences.

As I was about to leave work that day someone came in talking about the evacuations all the way over to Northeast MD.

What about 'runaway' trains? Tht one went mighty far without a motorman!
