ARTICLE SNIPPET: "VIENNA, Austria - U.N. inspectors in Iran have discovered undeclared designs for an advanced centrifuge used to enrich uranium, diplomats said Thursday, another apparent link to the nuclear black market emanating from Pakistan.

Preliminary investigations suggest the design matches drawings of enrichment equipment found in Libya and supplied through the network headed by Pakistani nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, the diplomats told The Associated Press.

The discovery came as Mohamed ElBaradei, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, called on the United States and other countries to relinquish nuclear weapons to make it more difficult for such weapons to fall into the hands of terrorists."

Smuggling birds from Mexico is a real problem in the caged bird world.

True, I have been out of the business for 25 years, but doubt that it has changed. I raised and trained small Parrots and Cockatiels.

It became important to not buy from a source that had smuggled in the birds, due to disease and there are large quarantine centers for them in the U.S.. has to do with Customs as I recall.

ON a buying trip to San Diego in the 1970's, we went to a small house in National City, that had no furniture, only a 100 or so bird cages, and several heaters to keep the temperature high.

In Wellton, locals told me they would bring me a big parrot from Mexico, if I wanted one. (they did own one) Seems easy, soak corn in Tequila, feed to bird, bird goes to sleep, put him in a paper bag and walk across the border.

The history of my own Dink, a Petz Conure (Cockatiel sized Parrot), was that he had been taken from a Mexican illegal, who was walking across the desert, Dink was about 3 days old and was given to one of the Deputies wives to see if she could save it.

Jo, saved Dink and when it was about 2 years old, I was lucky enough to get him and he lived over 23 years with me.

Dink ruled the house and all who entered it. He would leave you bloody, cause you didn't do as he wanted, then fly across the room, sit on my friend Mary's knee and talk to her in a "Gentle Victorian Ladies Tea Time" voice/actions.

One of my uncles never entered my home, with out his head covered in a thick bath towel. Dink loved Hank, but he did make Hank do as he wanted him to do.

Back in the 70's a big poultry kill went on, it was caused by a pair of rare ducks, that a lady had smuggled in, and they were sick.

Birds do seem to spread a lot of disease, and not just avian flu. Take the West Nile Virus for instance. Althought the disease is spread by misquitos, crows and other birds are the source.

Promedmail.org, yesterday, issued a report that in Texas, the first case of West Nile Virus in a bird had been found.

The bird, a sparrow type, simply fell out of the sky and when tested, had the disease.

The report, says that finding it this early, did not mean that we would have a bad year of West Nile Virus.

Strange that they would cancel a Sunday flight early on a Thursday, but not the Thursday, Friday and Saturday versions of that same daily flight . . . I would sure love to know what type of info we are getting, because it's making us look like goofballs . . . how can it be that a Sunday flight is more at risk than any other? If they really want THAT airplane, can't they get it any day? Or if they really want AN airplane but have to act on Sunday, can't they pick out a different flight on that same day?

How about because one or more persons involved with the plan only work that flight on certian days of the week. In other words, whatever the threat might be, it requires an insider such as a pilot, navigator, flight attendant, or even ground crew, to carry it out, and that person only works that flight on the days that it is canceled.

Thanks for posting this Try2, not sure how to take this other than it doesn't sound good. It sounds like whatever the "event" is it will undoubtedly illicit a response against Arabs and Muslims within the U.S. and not only a military response, but a response from citizens. Which means they expect it to be really bad. I hope whatever these neanderthals are planning is foiled. Any new posts from this person?
