Sheila Jackson Lee just entered it into the House Records on live C-Span that the 2004 Super Bowl held in Houston Texas was the best one ever and the best one to uphold family values.

Absolutely! I agree.
My high school senior found what she's seen after the fact completely disgusting.
A testament to her having parents who actually LOVE their children and teach morality in their home!

There's just something about that name, I guess.

"Aerosmith had cocaine in a bathroom at NASA."
Details please, or is this just a stereotype of rock stars?

Values? I don't think this woman has a clue as to what values really mean!

isthisnickcool, do you have any details?
What I've heard are rumors that someone in Aerosmith or their entourage got caught using cocaine in the bathroom at NASA while taking a personal tour. No charges were filed and reportedly some NASA employees were not happy that they got a pass on this.
This city whored itself out (the nightly broadcasts of "stargazing" were a particular example). Queen Sheila represents a district in Houston and I think that it is in this mindset that she wanted it "on record" that Houston's Super Bowl was "the best". The "best" part about it was that it was a close game until the end; kept things interesting. The host city had no role in that.
The downtown business partnership has been selling the city on hosting the Super Bowl for years now. They opened the Metrorail down Main Street less than a month before the big game (and have been averaging an accident a week in the trial and operating period). Being "the best" is supposed to justify some of the expense that Houston shelled out.

What a laugh riot that thing is..
Does Grim know? He's in her district and his head kind of explodes anytime her name is mentioned, LOL!

And another thing. Let's stop referring to this particular super bowl as having had a "half time" show and refer to it as the "half-wit" show.

No doubt Queen Sheila released that official statement directly from the surface of Mars....standing next to the flag our astronauts planted there.
Seriously ignorant b!tch BUMP!

I think her house is actually in River Oaks. Either R.O. or the Med. Center area from the looks of it.
Someone posted a photo of it once upon a time, and the front lawn is totally devoid of decorative shrubbery. Half dead grass. Unbelievably ugly and plain!

Maybe one of you photoshop guys should do a parody substituting SJL and Ken Lay (of Enron fame) for JJ and JT. Considering that the Enron scandal exposed SJL as the cheap political prostitute she is (ref. SJL defending Enron until the end because they wrote her nice big campaign checks.)

God help us all. If half of this country leans in the liberal direction, we are obviously in for a long fight.Sadly one party we used to depend on, and it's leader seems to be leaning in the liberal direction...we're already fighting each other because of them....and it is THEM not us who are the betrayers.

As always, Tammy Bruce hits the bull's eye in her unflinching and and straightforward analysis. Especially on Howard Dean, one of the Democratic candidates who aspires to be the Leader of the Free World: "...And then in a comment which really sums up why this man is better suited to be managing a shift at Taco Bell instead of running this great country..." Now THAT'S priceless.
Thanks for posting this.
