Yes--clearly dishonest, but an interesting development, anyway.

And how is this different from Bush's proposal?

In one way, he says citizenship, Bush never mentioned citizenship. If they want citizenship they have to go back to their home countries and apply.

But what the hey to the anti-Bush bandwagon, they will take the red meat and be ignorant of the facts.

There are a whole lot of people that will take notice of what The Weasel just said.

Too bad it did not come from the Republican side first.

Why? He gave no specifics. He is just making so much noise.

Will he give orders to BOMB the illegals from 15,000 ft. like he ordered NATO to do to the Serbs.... who were trying to stop ILLEGAL ALBANIANS from taking their country.

The mind reels at clark's idiocy. Or maybe it is just my blood pressure pills kicking-in. LOL.

This would have been smarter if he had done it after the proposal. Now Arizonans will see it as opportunism and Democrat primary voters won't be terribly attracted to it anyway.

You know, I've given thought to the following: If we accept the premises that (1) the Clintons do not want Kerry to win the presidency and (2) Clark is the Clintons' sock puppet, then it stands to reason that Clark may make a third party run.

Clark is a nut, but this is a very smart move.

The only problem is he is doing exactly what every other politician does and is doing: Promise the world to get elected, say anything to get elected. Once elected, do whatever the hell you want.

Not to win a Democratic nomination it isn't. Clark thinks that he is in a Republican primary against Bush.

Yep, it is a conspiracy to defeat Bush and surrender the country to France.

"smart move"

Really ..?? Well .. what if Bush proposed the Guest Worker idea just to force the dems to go against it ..??

So far .. everything Bush proposes the democrats are against. Why would immigration reform be any different ..??

As usual, the dems are so blinded by their hatred of Bush, they are dissing Hispanics right before an election .. not a very "smart move" to me.

Yep.

Clark plays this right -- and he wins. (And we all lose.)

(And GWB can thank the genius, Rove, for this one.)
