If FR had been around during Reagan's presidency, they would have bashed and trashed, sliced and diced him Remember Phil Crane, congressman from Illinois? Remember how in 1984 he ran in the Republican primaries against Pres. Reagan because Reagan "wasn't conservative enough"? You're right. The naysayers do only one thing well. Making a compelling point, winning people over, acting with civility, and standing up for the best interests of this nation -- none of these are that one thing.

Maybe its because she's weighed the people on the other side, and doesn't want to be seen with them.

I voted for Bush and might even vote for him again, we'll see, the election is a long ways off.No doubt you'll come around. The choice is President Bush or the democrat.

America will never have a three party or multiparty system
Are you aware that the Republican Party was once a "third party?"

I'm just asking for a little help to understand why these kinds of things keep happening. My asking these questions shouldn't make people feel compelled to defend the big picture of why President Bush is a great man and leader. I just don't get what's going on here, and no one is explaining it.

Ditto that, Girl.

Having said that, the NEA is churning out garbage. Well, maybe they won't be turning out trash anymore.

I don't think he knows what he is doing. That is exactly what Ma Richards, Al Gore, Saddam Hussein, the Taliban and a guy hiding in an Afghanistan cave said and what 9 democrats and a few FR uber-conservatives are saying hoping that someday it may be true. BTW Ma Richards used the term empty suit to describe him you may want to stop using it just to keep your cover going.
To: sfRummygirl
Lura, is going to announce this so this must be on W's "honey do" list.

Luis is such a dear. And good for YOU, learning HTML, which I am still utterly at a loss about.

Did I call you a Bush Basher? If so, it was unintended. And I'm not attacking those who simply disagree with Bush here or there. I'm talking about the people here on FR who get on their computers at 7:00 in the morning and incessantly attack Bush until their mothers tell them it's time for bed. These people make a lifestyle out of their negative. I think if the world were perfect, they'd explode.

Before you jump to conclusions, read post #912.
Skip the entire article and read the last 4 paragraphs starting with Alec Baldwin. I know, most of us detest Baldwin, but here he actually makes sense. He points out where the NEA brings far more revenue into the National Treasury as well as the economy than the government spends to fund them.
There are many perspectives on how to view the possible motives of this proposal. It may also be in line with making the NEA self supporting. Whatever the case, I would bet that the President's reasons have something to do with a financial gain for the future of our economy.

If you are from Texas then you must know that after the Dem's convention Ma Richards was dog meat in Texas. I could have bet her, she was hated.

Yet, I don't hear these people screaming about judges, just Bush.
Maybe that's because it was REPUBLICANS who appointed three of the biggest liberals on the bench. I'm not sure I trust Republicans to appoint them.
