"The medicare plan I support; it starts the path toward privatization."
Judging from history, the projected cost of Bush's new drug entitlement will likely climb by 400-500% within ten years...meaning it will cost closer to $2 trillion dollars than the 'low' $400 billion he has proposed...Sorry, but I fail to see how spending such an insane amount of money starts us down the road to privatization. This is vote buying, and it will be drowning future generations with massive debt...and unbearable tax burdens.

say "F you conservatives".......that is arrogance. I thought you were into this culture war thing but when it comes to something you don't like you get down in the bottle of urine with the best of them.

I swear this president is doing his damnedest to snatch defeat from the hands of victory in November.

They're really gonzo and falling off the cliff. Can you imagine FR in July?

I voted and marched for Bush in 2000.
Cutting off my nose? Bush has already cut off all our noses this time. He's spiking my nose in the endzone, flaunting it.

"The medicare plan I support; it starts the path toward privatization."That medicare plan put Bush in the history books as the first Republican President to create a new federal welfare entitlement program.

I don't have a prob with cussing much as long as it is in moderation. I am not a legalist Christian. I am a Calvinist. Everything in balance theologically.

We know an insult when we see it. How much influence should 20% of the electorate hold over a President elected by 50% of the electorate. How much influence should 20% of the electorate hold that for the last decade and a half spit its vote between 3rd parties or that stayed at home pouting?

[Well he may be under the naive belief that his "base" has two brain cells to rub together.]
His old base did, his new base, I am not sure.

oh, so just what words are off limits. You do know that "devil" was a cuss word in the middle ages, don't you? Are you opposed to that?
Oh, and what about ass. After all, in the KJV, it is used for donkey.

The Presidents job isn't to pander to the elctorate, but to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".

Say that loudly and proudly...and then feel the scorn of those who did and are PROUD to have done so, you damned fringer.
To: nopardons
I don't know...Truth be told, the bashers ran out of things to say about two minutes after they started their bash-fest. None of them has said anything new for months. I suppose they'll break new wind when the next trivial issue pops up on the radar screen.

He doesn't have to flaunt it. Nothing is making him do this. He's arrogant, and he's telling you, me and every other conservative in the country to go pound sand. It's not the money, it's not even the policy principle about funding of the arts.
Fact is, the NEA is to conservatives as pigs are to Jews. Bush might as well be serving pork to a group of rabbis in an effort to court the Jewish vote. It's just insulting.

Oh, and what about ass. After all, in the KJV, it is used for donkey.I'm pretty sure most Christians would consider "f___" a bad word, even in 2004.
