January 28, 2004 -- Al Franken is a big fat blabbermouth, and now he thinks he's Hulk Hogan. OK, maybe not that fat.

But a blabbermouth for sure - and now he's unleashed a new weapon: the body slam.

At a Howard Dean campaign stop in New Hampshire Monday, Franken lost control of himself when lunatic-fringe acolytes of Lyndon LaRouche began heckling the former Vermont governor.

One can only hope.

I hope the guy he tackled takes him to the cleaners.

This is their way of condoning Franken's actions.

When do we hear somebody in the lame stream media refer to this as an asault?

It may take some time, but you know the guy who got taken out by "Mr. Smally" is being courter by some 10,000 different lawyers over the past few days. No doubt some of them would like a piece of Franken.

"I'm OK, and your OK. Until you say something that I don't like. Then I rip your &#$@% head off!

Absolutely! That Frankenidiot doesn't even get the hypocrisy of tackeling a guy to shut him up all in the name of free speech.

Imagine what the liberal media would have done with this story if Rush Limbaugh had pulled "a Franken."

How do you spell *hypocrites*?

Wouldn't you think, that as a 'comedian', Franken would know and understand the purpose of a heckler?

A heckler is there to challenge the words of the speaker, and to test the speakers' mettle in dealing with an unpleasant situation, and to force the speaker to think and act on his feet.

That Dean didn't sharply rebuke Franken tells me that Dean, not Franken, is the schmuck here.

In a way, Franken's attack reminds me of the woman who challenged Clinton as he jogged a Chicago beach: she was rewarded with an IRS probe

And Don Adams, the guy that the union thugs beat up at the Clinton rally in Pittsburgh (?).

And Kathleen Willey, and Patrick Knowlton.

Why is it that the libs moan about the 'little guy' so much, but when he speaks up they stomp the snot out of him?

Actually in law, the threatening is "assault", the touching is "battery".

This is a classic "Res Ipsa Loquitur" unprovoked (Franken was not being directly "assaulted") "assault and battery" case.

A good attorney should be able to mulct Franken for some serious damages if he gets the "right" jury.

Regards,

That we are such a litigious society is one of the great tragedies of the present day. That said, I hope Franken is sued for every penny he has!

Franken is a real Brown Shirt. He is a short, stocky guy who is a physical and mental bully. He was serious when he challenged Lowery from the National Review to a fight and he was serious when he physically threatened O'Reilly at that awards dinner a while back. Intimidation is part of his MO.
I think his fascist flavor will be evident as he talks and talks on the radio.

Franken insisted he was simply doing his bit for Dean's First Amendment rights, and would have reacted just as violently on behalf of any other candidate.

Ah, now I see what the Left stands for. "We stand for the Regular People" . That's We, not you, stand up for yourself and you we be knocked down.

Once again, the Left despises independence in thought or action and will do whatever it takes to control both.

I would go after the attacker and the campaign for denial of Civil Rights.

I guess in Franken's world, those LaRouche types don't have First Amendment rights.

First Amendment rights? Was the government engaged in suppressing Dean's right to free speech? Really? The LaRouchies are part of The Establishment? Wow, I must have slept a whole lot longer than I thought.

Franken's hilarious. He makes Jimmuh's brother look like an insightful political commentator.
