Is "suspending" code for quiting? It's code for jumping back in later if fortunes turn.

I used to have some bit of respect for Lieberman.....but that was pre-Gore. After that...he turned into another Democratic liar.

It makes no difference anyway.
FWIW, --Here is the way I rate the dim-wads chances of being nominated:
Kerry: 45%
Edwards 35%
Gore 8%
H. Clinton 2%
Dean 0%
Clark 0%
Lieberman 0%
Etc. 0%
We better get ready for a Kerry/Edwards ticket in November, although I heard Rush talking today that Edwards/Hellary ticket could develop.
Anyways, Lieberman was in there with Dean and Clark and their combined 0% chance of being nominated.

Good point - if WMD turn up in Syria and the troops are coming home from Iraq, and OBL gets caught, Lerch may become unelectable and Jo No Mo may rise again.

Lieberman should at least stay in until Feb 3. He'll be in the south and west and out of Liberal country then. He'll pick up more votes then. Nationwide, he polls much higher.
This way, if he comes back, there will be 5 scratching for the job instead of 4...more Dem money will be wasted.
To: Political Junkie Too
Good riddance, he is just as disgusting as the rest of the lying pack of clowns...don't let the screen door smack ya, Joe Loser...not even a man. He is a disgrace to his religion and should be put out to pasture....if only those idiots in CT had a clue.

re: THE GORE ENDORSEMENT OF DEAN--
Once Dean officially passes from view in a week or two, then the door is a little bit open for gore to start some talk about him saving the day.
I doubt that was the plan, because gore is too stupid for that,-- but it has that effect, doesn't it?

SO LIEberman turns into DIEberman. It's a little more complicated than that:
LIEberman turned into LOSERman turned into DOberman turned int DIEberman!

So what will Deadwards turn into? His faux populism suggests he could morph into Redwards.

Yeah, you suspend your campaign that way you can get back in if something bad happens (a convention floor fight, a shooting (RFK, George Wallace)).
To: I still care
Joe is actually the only dem that has a grip. The dem voters do not.

No matter what he calls it, I say that Joe is the next one voted off the island.
Kucinich and Sharpton don't count -- they were dead money from the start.
After Joe goes, I think Clark would be next.
To: Momaw Nadon
The other reason Lieberman had no shot is that most blacks will never vote for a "Joooo."

Will anyone notice? I mean, this a bit like Elizabeth Taylor announcing that she is quitting acting.

I kind of wish Joe had a shot at winning the nomination...his "moderate" views might have pushed Bush back to the right. Against a Kerry or Dean, Bush can continue to move left...and still look "conservative"
