"Mailed bomb injures Washington County man"
By Cait Purinton
The Capital-Journal
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Salanitro said the package cleared security measures because there were no indicators that it was an explosive device. He said postal facility managers will reinforce with employees how to identify suspicious packages.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the crime.
Anyone with information can call U.S. Postal Inspector David Wakefield at (913) 266-2400. Tipsters also can call 1-800-KS-CRIME or the Washington County Sheriff's Department at (785) 325-2293.

Some of what we learn in D.C. falls under the loose lips category.
I've got my eyes open, though. If I can safely report something, I will.

Stolie, what's the link for that? I'm way behind. Had to make a last minute dash for more batteries. (i know i know)

Thus, only a terrorist supported by the resources of a rogue state would be able to procure and deploy smallpox.Acutally it sounds like a threat to countries trying to use terrorist for their own gain. Looks like we are saying if this happens we know that a government is behind the attack, not just a rouge group of terrorist, and we will put the blame where it belongs.

Doesn't this constant "it's not related to terrorism..don't worry..nothing to see here..move along" really annoy the banannas out of you?
I know it does me. How stupid do they think we are? (Apparently, very).

"loose lips", sure, I can understand that.
but when a reporter like Christopher Hitchens is in the "tip loop" for a nuke to NYC, its already quite loose.

I googled and have to be candid with you and tell you that "dirty kafir" and "dirty kaffir" are common terms --- you know how we "infidels" are. I missed Steve Emerson's comments because I was at church. Thanks Cindy, I did the same google search and whooa. Steve Emerson gave the sites url, which I believe he stated that he had put it on, but I had just got up and was not prepared. It sounded as if it was on one of his sites and started with ip and ended with .com. I thought when he said it that it was an extra long url. And thanks for the other music links that you provided.

Has anyone noticed the Emergency Broadcast Test (TV'S) going on this afternoon?

I had a chance to listen to the audio of that Dirty Kufar tape on another board. It sounds like they used the music of a song that was real popular when I was living in Singapore back in 95, 96, 97. The group is Shaggy (I think Jamaican) and the name of the song is "In the Summertime." I bought lots of disc's while we were over there and I have the song on one of those disc's.

Revel - well, I guess what I was trying to say is..WHY would they post something like this? What are they trying to accomplish? Our education? I don't think so..
Most of us are familiar with the devastation that Smallpox/Hemmoragic viruses could create.
This seems like fear mongering to me, and I wonder what the motivation for its publication was.

I haven't noticed any today. I'm near DC, in Arlington, in a high rise (17th floor). All quite here. I really believe (and pray) it will stay that way.
IF anything happens I will also report as I am able.
Stay safe everyone. Even it nothing happens, this war is a long way from over.

That's got to be a machine translation. I've read the Arabic of that message and that English translation doesn't make sense. The Arabic refers to "countries with villages (or communities) of apostates that spy on Muslims".
I believe that this was a threat made yesterday against the Kurdish areas of Iraq, and was followed up today with a posting on the same message board by the same poster, claiming responsibility on behalf of Ansar al Islam.
Remember that a machine translation only gives you a rough idea of what the message says - to get a true idea of the message you're going to need a real human translation.

Read it in context of thread 1 and 2 to see the development. He's totally bonkers that's for sure.

I had to quit reading about a third in.
Some caution advised in deciding to peruse this. It will create nightmares for you (that's why I stopped. I am concerned enough already).
