Reminds me of the the old saying, "Quitting is easy. I've done it a hundred times." That's what a dear friend of mine used to say. He smoked 20 to 30 hand-rolled non-filtered cigarettes a day for something like 35 years. His wife and kids and doctor beggged him to quit and he tried a hundred times, but he just couldn't kick the habit. He died last year at age 54, as a result of... injuries suffered in an auto crash.

Kind of funny how we would stare at the Amish when we went on family vacations to Lancaster, PA, would never bat an eye at the Hasidics, who are commonplace in the NYC Metro area. In fact, there are entire villages in the NYC Metro area that are made up almost exclusively of Hasidic sects. Kyrias Joel (Sp?) in Rockland County, NY comes to mind.

LG2: Can you please also respond with your expertise to my post #1,742? That would be much appreciated. I have nothing to fear from Its Happening, but others are saying that they do. In addition, what is your opinion of CNV2 (the msnbc site)? A poster at the CNV2 site posted a link to FR and the poster is heckling folks here for worrying about the CNV2 site in particular (as opposed to worrying about ANY site on the web).

I think everyone should simply take all the normal precautions no matter where they go on the web. That's all they have to worry about.

I never said anything about Its Happening. I've never been to that board. When I warning about posting boards, I specifically spoke of disc.server, Current News & Views.

If anyone had problems at Its Happening, that is outside of my knowledge.

As to why Sean is posting there? I can't always follow the method of his madness.

Nope; in that photo they are clearly regerring to the Arabian pensinsula. See my other posts about how close the words are for peninsula and island in Arabic. From now on I'll be translating "jezira" in that context as "peninsula" and not "island". Sorry for the confusion.

Exactly. So many news and breaking news threads end up containing a few joke posts; cartoon posts; opinion posts; heckling posts; etc. This is what I like about FR. It is good that we can lighten up the serious stuff happening in the world.

I'm coming out of lurkdom having been here watching this forum for the last couple of weeks. First I'd like to say a positive thank you to every one who posts here and obviously work hard to unravel all the information regarding the terrorist issues. Please keep up the good work everyone.

The reason for suspending my lurker activities is this....

IF ANYONE IS UNSURE ABOUT THAT CNV BOARD - Get this.
I have NEVER posted or registered on that board, or any of the jihadi forums, until now I was just a full scale lurker and proud of it. Today I logged into my financial accounts and found that our dear little self proclaimed terrorist EOM has hacked the account and stolen money from my credit card.

Imagine opening an account and finding -'Payment credit card ---Thank you! CC PAYMENT - EOM.

I also had the pleasure of forwarding an email to someone and discovering that all my IE and OE settings had been set to windows English (Arabic). Fortunately I have resolved some of the issues but I am also aware that many people are likely to have been caught out by EOM if their 'puter security like mine was as good as a bucket of holes in a drought!

In one of those messages (on that board in question) it was quite plainly stated 'prepare for thy doom'
The current Doom virus syndrome is very relevent to the EOM (Hacker)scene.

I am of the opinion that EOM is simply a key network terrorist with an aim to create chaos and panic via the internet. I also am of the opinion that this current run of hacker and virus activity IS a precursor to an attack on the USA, designed to bring chaos to financial networks. Most of the emails I have recieved that contain the novarg /doom virus have come from financial websites based in the US and others have come via email addresses with Middle Eastern names (alias's) attached. I could be wrong but very much doubt it in this case. Known and Unknown Terrorist groups are highly likely to have some very highly qualified hackers on board the payroll.

FYI the message which allowed hacker entry to my computer was on CNV entitled 'mama told you not to steal'
If you had clicked on it and others posted at a later date you may well have been caught in the trap.

Please check your accounts if you use any online transaction services and block up any holes in your security.

I hope this makes sense to all those who may think that lurking at and reading those CNV boards is safe. It Aint!
