Prayer Request for Freeper's Son

I just got the news that my precious son's (age 4) blood tests are back. He has Alpha 1 and the numbers on his liver enzymes are shooting up again.

His alkalines have almost doubles, as have ALT and AST. In short, it's not real good. Our wonderful doctor wants to check again in 3 months, but thinks we'll be headed back to Vandy for more aggressive treatment.

Please pray for his health & healing if it is God's will. Also, please pray for us as we cope. I will most certainly give God the glory and ya'll my heartfelt thanks.

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AAT Deficiency or Alpha-1) is one of the most common serious hereditary disorders in the world and can result in life-threatening liver disease in children and adults or in lung disease in adults.

I'm going to have a bit of a cry now. He begged to go to Granny's for a few hours and I just couldn't say no.

AMEN! I'm so glad to see the good update in #106!

Re: tickets -- others may know better ways, and there may yet be another contact for you "from out of the woodwork", lol!, who can do better for you.

But I found Orbitz.com a good place to get tickets recently. You just enter your basic trip info (no need to enter your entire life history and shoe size like on some other sites!). Then they tell you the carrier, you can choose times, # layovers, ticket price, etc. Try that, see if it helps, at least so you have an idea of prices and what's available.

Kimmie I AGREE God does have special plans for your little one. Please remember, it is NEVER God's will for disease. He is the Healer. This sounds like the Devil attempting to "steal" the life of one of God's special children while tormenting you and your husband. WE WILL Stand together in Unity against this attack!! Btw I KNOW about genetic disorders. My son is a hemopheliac. He is 31 now but his right ankle has been destroyed by bleeds. He is waiting for a complete ankle replacement. It is a fairly new surgery and there is only ONE doctor in all of B.C. does this surgery. He is also HEP C positive. However, he has NO LIVER problems at all. Each and every year his tests are normal. I thank God for that. Now my daughter has two sons, and her first son, my grandson, is also a hemopheliac. The younger one is not. PTL. However, there is no problems with the blood factor now - for the factor 9 Hemo's which my son and grandson are - the product is completely artificial - no human blood protiens therefore no diseases. It wasn't that way when my son Mark was little tho. Thanks to President Clinton, I transfused my son probably thousands of times with infected Arkansas Prison blood. He killed many Hemopheliacs. The factor 8 Hemopheliacs are even worse off - most of them have Hepatitis C AND Aids. The factor 9's - most of them are Hep C positive but only 20% of them have HIV!! So, I KNOW. When our little ones are sick it makes us feel so helpless. But we have a good God, an able God and a God who loves us and our children. You can count on my prayers Kimmie. Stay strong yourself tho and NEVER give up.!!

God is truly the BEST, AWESOME, RIGHTEOUS, HOLY, THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!!!!!!! I praise Him for all He's done, and all He will do. And the funny thing is, He just keeps sending people my way -- turns out our family physician has been working behind the scenes as well, and has agreed to sign off on the 'second opinion' at Boston or anywhere else (should a more appropriate venue turn up) -- they are also going to handle the insurance company for me. Thank GOD for a Christian doctor who actually CARES!

I just keep getting these little gifts from the Father, ya'll, and I'm having faith that my son will be healed. My dream is to go to Boston and have them look at me like I'm insane and say, "Lady, what are you doing here? There's nothing wrong with this kid!" -- BEWARE, because no matter where you are, you'll hear me yelling, singing, and praising God. For He alone is worthy.

I have never felt such support. I can't tell you how much ya'll prayers mean to me.

I did see your post wanting to know about airlines. There is something called angelflight if I remember right ( I found out about when a friend was dying of cancer) that will fly you and your son for free. Check it out and if it doesn't work, e-mail me. I'll do anything I can. Prayers.
