Who's misleading Bush?

Some of those who live along the Potomac River have grown sleek in the belief that they know many of Washington's secrets. Maybe they do. But if so, no one is sharing reports or even rumors on who is keeping President George Bush away from the facts on immigration, the problems of Mexico and guest-worker programs.

"Who's misleading Bush?

As though the President is wearing dark sunglasses and ear-muffs, and stumbing around with a cane?

If Bush is going to pander he should at least pander to the voting block traditionally targeted for pandering -- the political center. But it just so happens that the majority of the center is adamantly opposed to rewarding illegal alien crimminals, just as conservatives are. Very bad strategy, and he may get badly burned because of it.

But then again this could just be a return favor in a bargain rather than solely about votes -- Companies desiring cheap, illegal labor stuff the campaign coffers of both the GOP and the 'Rats and in return get this amnesty bone.

"Isn't that how O'Neill claims he handles the economy?"

Ooops ;-)

However, on the issue of Mexico and illegal immigration, and based upon Dubya's seemingly monthly visits with Vincente Fox (R) Mexico, the President should be quite the expert on the dynamics of his proposed ill-advised policy.

Excellent observation, Moj.

Or perhaps these are really bigger problems for the United States, as Mexico's conquest of our society appears to be not only on schedule, but gathering speed.

LOL! Who makes this stuff up?!

Which do you think we are more likely to see: English becoming an official language of Mexico or Spanish becoming an official language of the United States? Cinco de Mayo becoming a holiday in the United States or te Fourth of July becoming a holiday in Mexico?

I'd like to add that Bush and his advisors clearly do not understand the math involved here.....they're risking the backlash from literally ten to twenty (or possibly more) American voters in order to pander to maybe 2-5 million immigrant voters and our new defacto immigration czar (Fox). The stupidity of this situation is beyond belief.

Dateline D.C. is written by a Washington-based British journalist and political observer.

More like POLITICAL HACK!

Honestly Willie, in you unending pursuit of propaganda to use against our President and the Morale of this forum, you should just get your articles from DU.

This article comes from just another Leftist/Socialist propagandist and nothing more than that. You may as well post quotes from Michael Moore. (not intended to give you any ideas) And, coming from you, I am not at all surprised.

>>>No one's misleading Bush. He knows exactly what he is doing.

I agree with you. PresBush is proposing an offer that would grant legal status to illegal aliens. That is a pardon and in effect, that is amnesty. The President also has no obvious desire to see the borders sealed.

This is a case of political pandering to the Hispanic community. It's supported by the pro-amnesty/open borders contingent of pandering politicians, hardcore leftwingers, social liberals and all manner of libertarian thinkers.

Thank God the American people are smart enough to see through this bad policy proposal and oppose it in significant majorities.

This article comes from just another Leftist/Socialist propagandist and nothing more than that.

The author exposes the marxist agenda behind the invasion of illegal immigrants and you call him a "Leftist/Socialist propagandist"?

That sure doesn't do much for your credibility,
but thanks for bumping the thread.
